• Allah did curse him, but he said:" I will take of Thy servants a portion Marked off ;
  जिसपर ख़ुदा ने लानत की है और जिसने कहा था कि मैं तेरे बन्दों में से कुछ ख़ास लोगों को ज़रूर ले लूंगा

• O you who have been granted the Book! Do believe in what We have revealed, which confirms the revelation which you already possess. Do this before We alter countenances, turning them backwards, or lay a curse upon them as We cursed the Sabbath - men. Bear in mind that Allah ' s command is done.

• The Day when their excuses will not profit the wrongdoers, and the curse will be upon them, and they will have the Home of Misery.
  जिस दिन ज़ालिमों को उनका उज्र कुछ भी लाभ न पहुँचाएगा, बल्कि उनके लिए तो लानत है और उनके लिए बुरा घर है

• O ye People of the Book! believe in what We have revealed, confirming what was with you, before We change the face and fame of some beyond all recognition, and turn them hindwards, or curse them as We cursed the Sabbath - breakers, for the decision of Allah Must be carried out.
  ऐ लोगों! जिन्हें किताब दी गई, उस चीज को मानो जो हमने उतारी है, जो उसकी पुष्टि में है, जो स्वयं तुम्हारे पास है, इससे पहले कि हम चेहरों की रूपरेखा को मिटाकर रख दें और उन्हें उनके पीछ की ओर फेर दें या उनपर लानत करें, जिस प्रकार हमने सब्तवालों पर लानत की थी । और अल्लाह का आदेश तो लागू होकर ही रहता है

• Abraham said," You have taken up the worship of idols, instead of God, to promote friendship between yourselves in the present life. But on the Day of Judgement, you will disown and curse one another. Your abode will be the Fire and you will have no helpers."
  और उसने कहा," अल्लाह से हटकर तुमने कुछ मूर्तियों को केवल सांसारिक जीवन में अपने पारस्परिक प्रेम के कारण पकड़ रखा है । फिर क़ियामत के दिन तुममें से एक - दूसरे का इनकार करेगा और तुममें से एक - दूसरे पर लानत करेगा । तुम्हारा ठौर - ठिकाना आग है और तुम्हारा कोई सहायक न होगा ।"

• They were pursued by a curse in this world as they will be on the Day of Resurrection. Indeed, the ' Ad denied their Lord. So away with the ' Ad, the people of Hud!
  इस संसार में भी लानत ने उनका पीछा किया और क़ियामत के दिन भी," सुन लो! निस्संदेह आद ने अपने रब के साथ कुफ़्र किया । सुनो! विनष्ट हो आद, हूद की क़ौम ।"
