• Forbidden to you is that which dies of itself, and blood, and flesh of swine, and that on which any other name than that of Allah has been invoked, and the strangled and that beaten to death, and that killed by a fall and that killed by being smitten with the horn, and that which wild beasts have eaten, except what you slaughter, and what is sacrificed on stones set up and that you divide by the arrows ; that is a transgression. This day have those who disbelieve despaired of your religion, so fear them not, and fear Me. This day have I perfected for you your religion and completed My favor on you and chosen for you Islam as a religion ; but whoever is compelled by hunger, not inclining willfully to sin, then surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
  मरा हुआ जानवर और ख़ून और सुअर का गोश्त और जिस पर के वक्त ख़ुदा के सिवा किसी दूसरे का नाम लिया जाए और गर्दन मरोड़ा हुआ और चोट खाकर मरा हुआ और जो कुएं में गिरकर मर जाए और जो सींग से मार डाला गया हो और जिसको दरिन्दे ने फाड़ खाया हो मगर जिसे तुमने मरने के क़ब्ल ज़िबाह कर लो और बुतों पर चढ़ा कर ज़िबाह किया जाए और जिसे तुम के तीरों से बाहम हिस्सा बॉटो तुम पर हराम की गयी हैं ये गुनाह की बात है अब तो कुफ्फ़ार तुम्हारे दीन से मायूस हो गए तो तुम उनसे तो डरो ही नहीं बल्कि सिर्फ मुझी से डरो आज मैंने तुम्हारे दीन को कामिल कर दिया और तुमपर अपनी नेअमत पूरी कर दी और तुम्हारे दीने इस्लाम को पसन्द किया पस जो शख्स भूख़ में मजबूर हो जाए और गुनाह की तरफ़ माएल भी न हो तो ख़ुदा बेशक बड़ा बख्शने वाला मेहरबान है

• Fight against those who believe not in Allah, nor in the Last Day, nor forbid that which has been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger and those who acknowledge not the religion of truth among the people of the Scripture, until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.
  वे किताबवाले जो न अल्लाह पर ईमान रखते है और न अन्तिम दिन पर और न अल्लाह और उसके रसूल के हराम ठहराए हुए को हराम ठहराते है और न सत्यधर्म का अनुपालन करते है, उनसे लड़ो, यहाँ तक कि वे सत्ता से विलग होकर और छोटे बनकर जिज़्या देने लगे

• O you who believe! You are forbidden to inherit women against their will, and you should not treat them with harshness, that you may take away part of the Mahr you have given them, unless they commit open illegal sexual intercourse. And live with them honourably. If you dislike them, it may be that you dislike a thing and Allah brings through it a great deal of good.
  ऐ ईमानदारों तुमको ये जायज़ नहीं कि औरतों से के ज़बरदस्ती वारिस बन जाओ और जो कुछ तुमने उन्हें दिया है उसमें से कुछ उन्हें दूसरे के साथ न रोको हॉ जब वह खुल्लम खुल्ला कोई बदकारी करें तो अलबत्ता रोकने में नहीं और बीवियों के साथ अच्छा सुलूक करते रहो और अगर तुम किसी वजह से उन्हें नापसन्द करो अजब नहीं कि किसी चीज़ को तुम नापसन्द करते हो और ख़ुदा तुम्हारे लिए उसमें बहुत बेहतरी कर दे

• Lawful to you is the game of the sea and its food, a provision for you and for the travellers, and the game of the land is forbidden to you so long as you are on pilgrimage, and be careful of Allah, to Whom you shall be gathered.
  तुम्हारे लिए जल की शिकार और उसका खाना हलाल है कि तुम उससे फ़ायदा उठाओ और मुसाफ़िर भी । किन्तु थलीय शिकार जब तक तुम इहराम में हो, तुमपर हराम है । और अल्लाह से डरते रहो, जिसकी ओर तुम इकट्ठा होगे

• Allah said: ' This land will now be forbidden to them for forty years and they will remain wandering about on the earth. Do not grieve over the condition of these transgressing people.
  कहा," अच्छा तो अब यह भूमि चालीस वर्ष कर इनके लिए वर्जित है । ये धरती में मारे - मारे फिरेंगे तो तुम इन अवज्ञाकारी लोगों के प्रति शोक न करो"

• Say: ' Produce your witnesses, those who testify God has forbidden this. ' Then if they testify, bear not witness with them ; and do not thou follow the caprices of those who cried lies to Our signs, and who believe not in the world to come, and ascribe equals to their Lord.
  फिर अगर वही चाहता तो तुम सबकी हिदायत करता तुम कह दो कि अपने गवाहों को लाकर हाज़िर करो जो ये गवाही दें कि ये चीज़े खुदा ही ने हराम कर दी हैं फिर अगर वह गवाही दे भी दे तो कहीं तुम उनके साथ गवाही न देना और जिन लोगों ने हमारी आयतों को झुठलाया और आख़िरत पर ईमान नहीं लाते और दूसरों को अपने परवरदिगार का हम सर बनाते है उनकी नफ़सियानी ख्वाहिशों पर न चलना

• And I come confessing to the Taurat that was before me, and to allow unto you some of that which was forbidden unto you. So And I have come unto you with a sign from your Lord wherefore fear Allah and obey me.
  " और मैं तौरात की, जो मेरे आगे है, पुष्टि करता हूँ और इसलिए आया हूँ कि तुम्हारे लिए कुछ उन चीज़ों को हलाल कर दूँ जो तुम्हारे लिए हराम थी । और मैं तुम्हारे पास तुम्हारे रब की ओर से एक निशानी लेकर आया हूँ । अतः अल्लाह का डर रखो और मेरी आज्ञा का पालन करो

• Say, “ Who has forbidden the adornment of Allah which He has brought forth for His bondmen, and the good food ? ” Say, “ That is for the believers in this world, and on the Day of Resurrection it will be for them only” ; this is how We explain Our verses in detail for people of knowledge.
  पूछो तो कि जो ज़ीनत और खाने की साफ सुथरी चीज़ें ख़ुदा ने अपने बन्दो के वास्ते पैदा की हैं किसने हराम कर दी तुम ख़ुद कह दो कि सब पाक़ीज़ा चीज़े क़यामत के दिन उन लोगों के लिए ख़ास हैं जो दुनिया की ज़िन्दगी में ईमान लाते थे हम यूँ अपनी आयतें समझदार लोगों के वास्ते तफसीलदार बयान करतें हैं

• Indeed, what they used to hide before has now become evident to them. But were they to be sent back they would revert to what they were forbidden, and they are indeed liars.
  बल्कि जो पहले से छिपाते थे आज उन पर खुल गयी और अगर ये लोग लौटा भी दिए जाएं तो भी जिस चीज़ की मनाही की गयी है उसे करें और ज़रुर करें और इसमें शक़ नहीं कि ये लोग ज़रुर झूठे हैं
