  ऐ ईमान लानेवालो! अल्लाह की निशानियों का अनादर न करो ; न आदर के महीनों का, न क़ुरबानी के जानवरों का और न जानवरों का जिनका गरदनों में पट्टे पड़े हो और न उन लोगों का जो अपने रब के अनुग्रह और उसकी प्रसन्नता की चाह में प्रतिष्ठित गृह को जाते हो । और जब इहराम की दशा से बाहर हो जाओ तो शिकार करो । और ऐसा न हो कि एक गिरोह की शत्रुता, जिसने तुम्हारे लिए प्रतिष्ठित घर का रास्ता बन्द कर दिया था, तुम्हें इस बात पर उभार दे कि तुम ज़्यादती करने लगो । हक़ अदा करने और ईश - भय के काम में तुम एक - दूसरे का सहयोग करो और हक़ मारने और ज़्यादती के काम में एक - दूसरे का सहयोग न करो । अल्लाह का डर रखो ; निश्चय ही अल्लाह बड़ा कठोर दंड देनेवाला है

Help not one another unto sin and transgression, but keep your duty to Allah. Lo! Allah is severe in punishment.
  ऐ ईमानदारों न ख़ुदा की निशानियों की बेतौक़ीरी करो और न हुरमत वाले महिने की और न क़ुरबानी की और न पट्टे वाले जानवरों की और न ख़ानाए काबा की तवाफ़ का क़स्द करने वालों की जो अपने परवरदिगार की ख़ुशनूदी और फ़ज़ल के जोयाँ हैं और जब तुम खोल दो तो शिकार कर सकते हो और किसी क़बीले की यह अदावत कि तुम्हें उन लोगों ने ख़ानाए काबा से रोका था इस जुर्म में न फॅसवा दे कि तुम उनपर ज्यादती करने लगो और नेकी और परहेज़गारी में एक दूसरे की मदद किया करो और गुनाह और ज्यादती में बाहम किसी की मदद न करो और ख़ुदा से डरते रहो ख़ुदा तो यक़ीनन बड़ा सख्त अज़ाब वाला है

• Tell them: ' I do not find in what has been revealed to me anything forbidden for anyone who wants to eat unless it is carrion, outpoured blood and the flesh of swine, all of which is unclean ; or that which is profane having been slaughtered in a name other than that of Allah. But whosoever is constrained to it by necessity - neither desiring to disobey nor exceeding the limit of necessity - your Lord is surely AllForgiving, All - Compassionate.
  कह दो," जो कुछ मेरी ओर प्रकाशना की गई है, उसमें तो मैं नहीं पाता कि किसी खानेवाले पर उसका कोई खाना हराम किया गया हो, सिवाय इसके लिए वह मुरदार हो, यह बहता हुआ रक्त हो या, सुअर का मांस हो - कि वह निश्चय ही नापाक है - या वह चीज़ जो मर्यादा से हटी हुई हो, जिसपर अल्लाह के अतिरिक्त किसी और का नाम लिया गया हो । इसपर भी जो बहुत विवश और लाचार हो जाए ; परन्तु वह अवज्ञाकारी न हो और न हद से आगे बढ़नेवाला हो, तो निश्चय ही तुम्हारा रब अत्यन्त क्षमाशील, दयाबान है ।"
