• Wherefore for their breach of their bond We accursed them and We made their hearts hard. They pervert the words from the meanings thereof and have abandoned a good portion of that wherewith they were admonished. And thou wilt not cease to light upon defrauding on their part, save a few of them ; yet pardon thou them and overlook them, verily Allah loveth the well - doers.
  फिर उनके बार - बार अपने वचन को भंग कर देने के कारण हमने उनपर लानत की और उनके हृदय कठोर कर दिए । वे शब्दों को उनके स्थान से फेरकर कुछ का कुछ कर देते है और जिनके द्वारा उन्हें याद दिलाया गया था, उसका एक बड़ा भाग वे भुला बैठे । और तुम्हें उनके किसी न किसी विश्वासघात का बराबर पता चलता रहेगा । उनमें ऐसा न करनेवाले थोड़े लोग है, तो तुम उन्हें क्षमा कर दो और उन्हें छोड़ो । निश्चय ही अल्लाह को वे लोग प्रिय है जो उत्तमकर्मी है

• In such a condition purity, the right working of the functions, the clear, unstained and luminous order of the being is an impossibility ; the various workings, given over to the chances of the environment and external influences, must necessarily run into each other and clog, divert, distract, pervert.
  ऐसी स्थिति में शुद्धता, कार्यकारी अंगों की यथायथ क्रिया तथा सत्ता की विशद, अकलुश और प्रकाशपूर्ण व्यवस्था सम्भव नहीं, विविध क्रियाएं परिस्थिति और बाह्मा प्रभावों के संयोगों के ऊपर छोड़ दी जाने पर, निश्चय ही एक - दूसरी के साथ उलझ जायेंगी तथा एक - दूसरी को बाधा पहुंचायेंगी विचलित, प्रथभ्रष्ट और विकृत करेंगी ।

• O apostle! let not those grieve thee that hasten after infidelity from among these who say with their mouths: we believe, yet their hearts believe not, and from among those who are Judaised: listeners to falsehoods, listeners to anot her people who come not unto thee ; they pervert the words after they have been set in their places, saying: if that which is given you be this accept it, but if that is not given you, beware. And whosesoever temptation Allah Willeth, thou shalt not avail him against Allah in aught. These are they whose hearts Allah would not cleanse ; theirs is humiliation in this world and theirs shall be in the Hereafter a mighty torment.
  ऐ रसूल जो लोग कुफ़्र की तरफ़ लपक के चले जाते हैं तुम उनका ग़म न खाओ उनमें बाज़ तो ऐसे हैं कि अपने मुंह से बे तकल्लुफ़ कह देते हैं कि हम ईमान लाए हालॉकि उनके दिल बेईमान हैं और बाज़ यहूदी ऐसे हैं कि झूठी बातें बहुत सुनते हैं ताकि कुफ्फ़ार के दूसरे गिरोह को जो तुम्हारे पास नहीं आए हैं सुनाएं ये लोग अल्फ़ाज़ की उनके असली मायने के बाद भी तहरीफ़ करते हैं कहते हैं कि अगर मोहम्मद की तरफ़ से तुम्हें यही हुक्म दिया जाय तो उसे मान लेना और अगर यह हुक्म तुमको न दिया जाए तो उससे अलग ही रहना और जिसको ख़ुदा ख़राब करना चाहता है तो उसके वास्ते ख़ुदा से तुम्हारा कुछ ज़ोर नहीं चल सकता यह लोग तो वही हैं जिनके दिलों को ख़ुदा ने पाक करने का इरादा ही नहीं किया उनके लिए तो दुनिया में भी रूसवाई है और आख़ेरत में भी बड़ा अज़ाब होगा

• Pleasing seem their persons when you look at them ; and when they talk, you listen to their speech. Yet they are like the wooden panelling of a wall. They imagine every rebuke to be directed against them. They are the enemies, beware of them. May God damn them, how pervert are they!
  और जब तुम उनको देखोगे तो तनासुबे आज़ा की वजह से उनका क़द व क़ामत तुम्हें बहुत अच्छा मालूम होगा और गुफ्तगू करेंगे तो ऐसी कि तुम तवज्जो से सुनो गोया दीवारों से लगायी हुयीं बेकार लकड़ियाँ हैं हर चीख़ की आवाज़ को समझते हैं कि उन्हीं पर आ पड़ी ये लोग तुम्हारे दुश्मन हैं तुम उनसे बचे रहो ख़ुदा इन्हें मार डाले ये कहाँ बहके फिरते हैं

• To Allah belongs the Finest Names, so call Him by them, and keep away from those who pervert them. They shall be recompensed for the things they did.
  अच्छे नाम अल्लाह ही के है । तो तुम उन्हीं के द्वारा उसे पुकारो और उन लोगों को छोड़ो जो उसके नामों के सम्बन्ध में कुटिलता ग्रहण करते है । जो कुछ वे करते है, उसका बदला वे पाकर रहेंगे

• Said he, ' My Lord, for Thy perverting me I shall deck all fair to them in the earth, and I shall pervert them, all together,
  उसने कहा," मेरे रब! इसलिए कि तूने मुझे सीधे मार्ग से विचलित कर दिया है, अतः मैं भी धरती में उनके लिए मनमोहकता पैदा करूँगा और उन सबको बहकाकर रहूँगा,

  ऐ रसूल! जो लोग अधर्म के मार्ग में दौड़ते है, उनके कारण तुम दुखी न होना ; वे जिन्होंने अपने मुँह से कहा कि" हम ईमान ले आए," किन्तु उनके दिल ईमान नहीं लाए ; और वे जो यहूदी हैं, वे झूठ के लिए कान लगाते हैं और उन दूसरे लोगों की भली - भाँति सुनते है, जो तुम्हारे पास नहीं आए, शब्दों को उनका स्थान निश्चित होने के बाद भी उनके स्थान से हटा देते है । कहते है," यदि तुम्हें यह मिले, तो इसे स्वीकार करना और यदि न मिले तो बचना ।" जिसे अल्लाह ही आपदा में डालना चाहे उसके लिए अल्लाह के यहाँ तुम्हारी कुछ भी नहीं चल सकती । ये वही लोग है जिनके दिलों को अल्लाह ने स्वच्छ करना नहीं चाहा । उनके लिए संसार में भी अपमान और तिरस्कार है और आख़िरत में भी बड़ी यातना है

• Those who pervert Our Signs are not hidden from Us. Is he who will be cast into the Fire better, or he who comes secure on the Day of Resurrection ? Do as you wish ; He sees all what you do.
  जो लोग हमारी आयतों में कुटिलता की नीति अपनाते है वे हमसे छिपे हुए नहीं हैं, तो क्या जो व्यक्ति आग में डाला जाए वह अच्छा है या वह जो क़ियामत के दिन निश्चिन्त होकर आएगा ? जो चाहो कर लो, तुम जो कुछ करते हो वह तो उसे देख ही रहा है

• Then, because of their breaking their covenant We cursed them and made their hearts hard: they pervert words from their meanings, and have forgotten a part of what they were reminded. You will not cease to learn of some of their treachery, excepting a few of them. Yet excuse them and forbear. Indeed Allah loves the virtuous.
  पस हमने उनकीे एहद शिकनी की वजह से उनपर लानत की और उनके दिलों को हमने ख़ुद सख्त बना दिया कि कलमात को उनके असली मायनों से बदल कर दूसरे मायनो में इस्तेमाल करते हैं और जिन जिन बातों की उन्हें नसीहत की गयी थी उनमें से एक बड़ा हिस्सा भुला बैठे और अब तो उनमें से चन्द आदमियों के सिवा एक न एक की ख्यानत पर बराबर मुत्तेला होते रहते हो तो तुम उन को माफ़ कर दो और दरगुज़र करो ख़ुदा एहसान करने वालों को ज़रूर दोस्त रखता है

• And verily among them, are a party who pervert the Book with their tongues, that ye might deem it of the Book whereas it is not of the Book. And they say it is from God ; whereas it is not from Allah, and they forge a lie against Allah while they know.
  और अहले किताब से बाज़ ऐसे ज़रूर हैं कि किताब में अपनी ज़बाने मरोड़ मरोड़ के पढ़ जाते हैं ताकि तुम ये समझो कि ये किताब का जुज़ है हालॉकि वह किताब का जुज़ नहीं और कहते हैं कि ये ख़ुदा के यहॉ से है हालॉकि वह ख़ुदा के यहॉ से नहीं और जानबूझ कर ख़ुदा पर झूठ जोड़ते हैं
