• But if they dispute with you, say: I have submitted myself entirely to Allah and every one who follows me ; and say to those who have been given the Book and the unlearned people: Do you submit yourselves ? So if they submit then indeed they follow the right way ; and if they turn back, then upon you is only the delivery of the message and Allah sees the servants.
  पस अगर ये लोग तुमसे हुज्जत करे तो कह दो मैंने ख़ुदा के आगे अपना सरे तस्लीम ख़म कर दिया है और जो मेरे ताबे है भी और ऐ रसूल तुम अहले किताब और जाहिलों से पूंछो कि क्या तुम भी इस्लाम लाए हो पस अगर इस्लाम लाए हैं तो बेख़टके राहे रास्त पर आ गए और अगर मुंह फेरे तो तुम पर सिर्फ़ पैग़ाम पहुंचा देना फ़र्ज़ है और ख़ुदा को देख रहा है

• So if they dispute with thee, say:" I have submitted My whole self to Allah and so have those who follow me." And say to the People of the Book and to those who are unlearned:" Do ye submit yourselves ?" If they do, they are in right guidance, but if they turn back, Thy duty is to convey the Message ; and in Allah ' s sight are His servants.
  पस अगर ये लोग तुमसे हुज्जत करे तो कह दो मैंने ख़ुदा के आगे अपना सरे तस्लीम ख़म कर दिया है और जो मेरे ताबे है भी और ऐ रसूल तुम अहले किताब और जाहिलों से पूंछो कि क्या तुम भी इस्लाम लाए हो पस अगर इस्लाम लाए हैं तो बेख़टके राहे रास्त पर आ गए और अगर मुंह फेरे तो तुम पर सिर्फ़ पैग़ाम पहुंचा देना फ़र्ज़ है और ख़ुदा को देख रहा है

• And among the followers of the Book there are some such that if you entrust one with a heap of wealth, he shall pay it back to you ; and among them there are some such that if you entrust one with a dinar he shall not pay it back to you except so long as you remain firm in demanding it ; this is because they say: There is not upon us in the matter of the unlearned people any way ; and they tell a lie against Allah while they know.
  और अहले किताब कुछ ऐसे भी हैं कि अगर उनके पास रूपए की ढेर अमानत रख दो तो भी उसे वैसे ही तुम्हारे हवाले कर देंगे और बाज़ ऐसे हें कि अगर एक अशर्फ़ी भी अमानत रखो तो जब तक तुम बराबर पर खड़े न रहोगे तुम्हें वापस न देंगे ये इस वजह से है कि उन का तो ये क़ौल है कि जाहिलो में हम पर कोई इल्ज़ाम की राह ही नहीं और जान बूझ कर खुदा पर झूठ जोड़ते हैं

  और किताबवालों में कोई तो ऐसा है कि यदि तुम उसके पास धन - दौलच का एक ढेर भी अमानत रख दो तो वह उसे तुम्हें लौटा देगा । और उनमें कोई ऐसा है कि यदि तुम एक दीनार भी उसकी अमानत में रखों, तो जब तक कि तुम उसके सिर पर सवार न हो, वह उसे तुम्हें अदा नहीं करेगा । यह इसलिए कि वे कहते है," उन लोगों के विषय में जो किताबवाले नहीं हैं हमारी कोई पकड़ नहीं ।" और वे जानते - बूझते अल्लाह पर झूठ मढ़ते है

  अब यदि वे तुमसे झगड़े तो कह दो," मैंने और मेरे अनुयायियों ने तो अपने आपको अल्लाह के हवाले कर दिया हैं ।" और जिन्हें किताब मिली थी और जिनके पास किताब नहीं है, उनसे कहो," क्या तुम भी इस्लाम को अपनाते हो ?" यदि वे इस्लाम को अंगीकार कर लें तो सीधा मार्ग पर गए । और यदि मुँह मोड़े तो तुमपर केवल पहुँचा देने की ज़िम्मेदारी है । और अल्लाह स्वयं बन्दों को देख रहा है

• And among the People of the Scripture is he who, if you entrust him with a great amount, he will return it to you. And among them is he who, if you entrust him with a silver coin, he will not return it to you unless you are constantly standing over him. That is because they say," There is no blame upon us concerning the unlearned." And they speak untruth about Allah while they know.
  और किताबवालों में कोई तो ऐसा है कि यदि तुम उसके पास धन - दौलच का एक ढेर भी अमानत रख दो तो वह उसे तुम्हें लौटा देगा । और उनमें कोई ऐसा है कि यदि तुम एक दीनार भी उसकी अमानत में रखों, तो जब तक कि तुम उसके सिर पर सवार न हो, वह उसे तुम्हें अदा नहीं करेगा । यह इसलिए कि वे कहते है," उन लोगों के विषय में जो किताबवाले नहीं हैं हमारी कोई पकड़ नहीं ।" और वे जानते - बूझते अल्लाह पर झूठ मढ़ते है

• And among them are the unlearned that do not know anything of the Book except to recite something therefrom or parts of their own fabrications ; they are in absolute illusion.
  और उनमें सामान्य बेपढ़े भी हैं जिन्हें किताब का ज्ञान नहीं है, बस कुछ कामनाओं एवं आशाओं को धर्म जानते हैं, और वे तो बस अटकल से काम लेते हैं

• And among them are the unlearned that do not know anything of the Book except to recite something therefrom or parts of their own fabrications ; they are in absolute illusion.
  और कुछ उनमें से ऐसे अनपढ़ हैं कि वह किताबे खुदा को अपने मतलब की बातों के सिवा कुछ नहीं समझते और वह फक़त ख्याली बातें किया करते हैं,

• If they argue with you, say, “ I have surrendered myself to God, and those who follow me. ” And say to those who were given the Scripture, and to the unlearned, “ Have you surrendered ? ” If they have surrendered, then they are guided ; but if they turn away, then your duty is to convey. God is Seeing of the servants.
