And of you is he who dieth, and of you is he who is brought back to the most abject age, so that after knowing he knoweth not aught. Andthou beholdest the earth withered up, and when We send down thereon water, it stirreth and swelleth, and it groweth every luxuriant kind of growth.
  ऐ लोगो! यदि तुम्हें दोबारा जी उठने के विषय में कोई सन्देह हो तो देखो, हमने तुम्हें मिट्टी से पैदा किया, फिर वीर्य से, फिर लोथड़े से, फिर माँस की बोटी से जो बनावट में पूर्ण दशा में भी होती है और अपूर्ण दशा में भी, ताकि हम तुमपर स्पष्ट कर दें और हम जिसे चाहते है एक नियत समय तक गर्भाशयों में ठहराए रखते है । फिर तुम्हें एक बच्चे के रूप में निकाल लाते है । फिर ताकि तुम अपनी युवावस्था को प्राप्त हो और तुममें से कोई तो पहले मर जाता है और कोई बुढ़ापे की जीर्ण अवस्था की ओर फेर दिया जाता है जिसके परिणामस्वरूप, जानने के पश्चात वह कुछ भी नहीं जानता । और तुम भूमि को देखते हो कि सूखी पड़ी है । फिर जहाँ हमने उसपर पानी बरसाया कि वह फबक उठी और वह उभर आई और उसने हर प्रकार की शोभायमान चीज़े उगाई

  वृद्धों के सम्मान और देखभाल की भारतीय परंपरा पीढ़ी दर पीढ़ी चली आ रही है ।

• Ah! ye are those who fell to contending respecting that whereof ye had some knowledge, wherefore then should ye contend respecting that whereof ye have no knowledge! And Allah knoweth, and ye know not.

  वह इसलिए होगी कि अल्लाह ने तो हक़ के साथ किताब उतारी, किन्तु जिन लोगों ने किताब के मामले में विभेद किया वे हठ और विरोध में बहुत दूर निकल गए
