Poverty, corruption, overpopulation or religion issues don’t matter anymore. Why would they matter when we know that if we don’t save our earth, it will die soon and so will we. Do you still think our social issues surpass the global issue? The issue of Climate Change?

We all are familiar by now with the fact that India is facing a major climatic change and why won’t we?That is all we can see on every news channel lately. But are we taking part in minimizing the consequences? Nope. We are sitting on our bed, watching news that India is in crisis, bemoaning over the consequences India is facing and probably that’s it.

It’s time for realization. So here it goes. India is experiencing increased temperature by every summer and it hit 50 degrees this year in Rajasthan. The temperature might hit 60 degrees in the upcoming years. In the past few decades, Himalayan rivers and lakes have been fully dried up. Following the religious cultures, rivers are being polluted by the ash immersion. Extreme heat has killed more than 100 people in hospitals, railway stations, etc. The water shortage in Delhi slums has made people desperate. The neighbors abandon all their work to line up in front of a tanker grabbing buckets to collect water for household chores. Yields from India’s main crop, rice witnessed larger declines during extreme weather conditions. Disastrous drought has pushed Chennai on the verge of running out of water. Chennai has been in the limelight because its major rivers have dried up completely. All the four major reservoirs that supply drinking water to Chennai have dipped far below the zero levels and today hold not even 1% of their capacity. It is expected that by the end of 2020, 21 cities of India will run out of water resources and this includes our national capital Delhi and Bangalore. The use of an air conditioner is aggravating the rate of global warming. It might relieve us from heat as we sit at our home or offices but it will make the weather for the people outside worse.

A study shows that in the upcoming years India will face extreme heat which will make it impossible for humans to survive. Do you have goosebumps that if we didn’t take a huge step, we might be on the verge of dying? Maybe it’s high time that we should take a step forward and not two steps backward to protect our country and this planet. Today Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Friday said the Jal Shakti Ministry will work with all states to provide water to all rural households by 2024 under the 'Jal Jeevan Mission.' On our account:

1)We have to equip ourselves with renewable resources and start opting for solar energy as a source of energy.

2)We have to limit the use of energy by switching off unnecessary electrical appliances and reduce the use of air conditioners.

3)We should use public transport or carpool. No one likes unnecessary traffic on their way to work. Fewer vehicles, less traffic. Go for Uber and Ola...

4)We have been taught one Mantra throughout our life and we tend to forget it. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!

It is the time that we get up from our bed and stop watching the news channel and instead do something fruitful for this earth. Maybe all of this seems mainstream to you but it will matter to you in the upcoming years when this place will be awful to live.

Climate is changing, so should we.

I truely agree with such a nice thought and incentive of ur's. People should really understand the outcomes of their actions which may not reflect their life directly but it has a very large impact indirectly. If we want to make India a better nation we all should do small contributions from our side and believe me , every small action can lead to a very large impact . This article is meant to be shared to each and every social networking sites and make people aware !!
