  जब अल्लाह कहेगा," ऐ मरयम के बेटे ईसा! मेरे उस अनुग्रह को याद करो जो तुमपर और तुम्हारी माँ पर हुआ है । जब मैंने पवित्र आत्मा से तुम्हें शक्ति प्रदान की ; तुम पालने में भी लोगों से बात करते थे और बड़ी अवस्था को पहुँचकर भी । और याद करो, जबकि मैंने तुम्हें किताब और हिकमत और तौरात और इनजील की शिक्षा दी थी । और याद करो जब तुम मेरे आदेश से मिट्टी से पक्षी का प्रारूपण करते थे ; फिर उसमें फूँक मारते थे, तो वह मेरे आदेश से उड़नेवाली बन जाती थी । और तुम मेरे आदेश से मुर्दों को जीवित निकाल खड़ा करते थे । और याद करो जबकि मैंने तुमसे इसराइलियों को रोके रखा, जबकि तुम उनके पास खुली - खुली निशानियाँ लेकर पहुँचे थे, तो उनमें से जो इनकार करनेवाले थे, उन्होंने कहा, यह तो बस खुला जादू है ।"

• Say, ‘Come, I will recount what your Lord has forbidden you. That you shall not ascribe any partners to Him, and you shall be good to the parents, you shall not kill your children due to penury—We will provide for you and for them—you shall not approach indecencies, the outward among them and the inward ones, and you shall not kill a soul Allah has made inviolable, except with due cause. This is what He has enjoined upon you so that you may exercise your reason.
  कह दो," आओ, मैं तुम्हें सुनाऊँ कि तुम्हारे रब ने तुम्हारे ऊपर क्या पाबन्दियाँ लगाई हैः यह कि किसी चीज़ को उसका साझीदार न ठहराओ और माँ - बाप के साथ सद्व्य वहार करो और निर्धनता के कारण अपनी सन्तान की हत्या न करो ; हम तुम्हें भी रोज़ी देते है और उन्हें भी । और अश्लील बातों के निकट न जाओ, चाहे वे खुली हुई हों या छिपी हुई हो । और किसी जीव की, जिसे अल्लाह ने आदरणीय ठहराया है, हत्या न करो । यह और बात है कि हक़ के लिए ऐसा करना पड़े । ये बाते है, जिनकी ताकीद उसने तुम्हें की है, शायद कि तुम बुद्धि से काम लो ।
