  और इसके अलावा जो शख्स खुदा की हुरमत वाली चीज़ों की ताज़ीम करेगा तो ये उसके पवरदिगार के यहाँ उसके हक़ में बेहतर है और उन जानवरों के अलावा जो तुमसे बयान किए जाँएगे कुल चारपाए तुम्हारे वास्ते हलाल किए गए तो तुम नापाक बुतों से बचे रहो और लग़ो बातें गाने वग़ैरह से बचे रहो

• Say: I find not in that which is revealed unto me aught prohibited to an eater that he eat thereof, except it be carrion, or blood poured forth, or swineflesh - for that verily is foul - or the abomination which was immolated to the name of other than Allah. But whoso is compelled, neither craving nor transgressing, lo! thy Lord is Forgiving, Merciful.
  कह दो," जो कुछ मेरी ओर प्रकाशना की गई है, उसमें तो मैं नहीं पाता कि किसी खानेवाले पर उसका कोई खाना हराम किया गया हो, सिवाय इसके लिए वह मुरदार हो, यह बहता हुआ रक्त हो या, सुअर का मांस हो - कि वह निश्चय ही नापाक है - या वह चीज़ जो मर्यादा से हटी हुई हो, जिसपर अल्लाह के अतिरिक्त किसी और का नाम लिया गया हो । इसपर भी जो बहुत विवश और लाचार हो जाए ; परन्तु वह अवज्ञाकारी न हो और न हद से आगे बढ़नेवाला हो, तो निश्चय ही तुम्हारा रब अत्यन्त क्षमाशील, दयाबान है ।"

• And stay quietly in your houses, and make not a dazzling display, like that of the former Times of Ignorance ; and establish regular Prayer, and give regular Charity ; and obey Allah and His Messenger. And Allah only wishes to remove all abomination from you, ye members of the Family, and to make you pure and spotless.
  अपने घरों में टिककर रहो और विगत अज्ञानकाल की - सी सज - धज न दिखाती फिरना । नमाज़ का आयोजन करो और ज़कात दो । और अल्लाह और उसके रसूल की आज्ञा का पालन करो । अल्लाह तो बस यही चाहता है कि ऐ नबी के घरवालो, तुमसे गन्दगी को दूर रखे और तुम्हें तरह पाक - साफ़ रखे

• And Lot! when he said unto his folk: Will ye commit abomination such as no creature ever did before you ?
  और हमने लूत को भेजा । जब उसने अपनी क़ौम से कहा," क्या तुम वह प्रत्यक्ष अश्लील कर्म करते हो, जिसे दुनिया में तुमसे पहले किसी ने नहीं किया ?"

• We sent Lot and he said to his people: “ You commit the abomination that none in the world ever committed before you.
  और हमने लूत को भेजा, जबकि उसने अपनी क़ौम के लोगों से कहा," तुम जो वह अश्लील कर्म करते हो, जिसे तुमसे पहले सारे संसार में किसी ने नहीं किया

• He bids you only to do evil and to commit deeds of abomination and to attribute to God something of which you have no knowledge.
  वह तो तुम्हें बुराई और बदकारी ही का हुक्म करेगा और ये चाहेगा कि तुम बे जाने बूझे ख़ुदा पर बोहतान बाँधों

• For come ye not in unto males, and cut ye not the road, and commit ye not abomination in your meetings ? But the answer of his folk was only that they said: Bring Allah ' s doom upon us if thou art a truthteller!
  तुम लोग मर्दों की तरफ गिरते हो और रहजनी करते हो और तुम लोग अपनी महफिलों में बुरी बुरी हरकते करते हो तो लूत की क़ौम के पास इसके सिवा कोई जवाब न था कि वह लोग कहने लगे कि भला अगर तुम सच्चे हो तो हम पर ख़ुदा का अज़ाब तो ले आओ

• And We braced their hearts when they stood forth and said: our Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth ; never we shall call upon a god beside him ; for then we shall be saying an abomination.
  और हमने उनके दिलों को सुदृढ़ कर दिया । जब वे उठे तो उन्होंने कहा," हमारा रब तो वही है जो आकाशों और धरती का रब है । हम उससे इतर किसी अन्य पूज्य को कदापि न पुकारेंगे । यदि हमने ऐसा किया तब तो हमारी बात हक़ से बहुत हटी हुई होगी

• Say thou: I find not in that which hath been revealed unto me aught forbidden unto an eater that eateth thereof, except it be carcass, or blood poured forth, or flesh of swine, for that verily is foul, or an abomination over which is invoked the name of other than that of Allah. Then whosoever is driven thereto, neither lusting nor transgressing, verily thy Lord is Forgiving, Merciful.
  तुम कहो कि मै तो जो मेरे पास वही के तौर पर आया है उसमें कोई चीज़ किसी खाने वाले पर जो उसको खाए हराम नहीं पाता मगर जबकि वह मुर्दा या बहता हुआ ख़़ून या सूअर का गोश्त हो तो बेशक ये नापाक और हराम हैं या नाफरमानी का बाएस हो कि ख़ुदा के सिवा किसी और का नाम लिया गया हो फिर जो शख्स बेबस हो जाए नाफरमान व सरकश न हो और इस हालत में खाए तो अलबत्ता तुम्हारा परवरदिगार बड़ा बख्शने वाला मेहरबान है
