• said:" O Lut! We are Messengers from thy Lord! By no means shall they reach thee! now travel with thy family while yet a part of the night remains, and let not any of you look back: but thy wife: To her will happen what happens to the people. Morning is their time appointed: Is not the morning nigh ?"
  उन्होंने कहा," ऐ लूत! हम तुम्हारे रब के भेजे हुए है । वे तुम तक कदापि नहीं पहुँच सकते । अतः तुम रात के किसी हिस्सेमें अपने घरवालों को लेकर निकल जाओ और तुममें से कोई पीछे पलटकर न देखे । हाँ, तुम्हारी स्त्री का मामला और है । उनपर भी वही कुछ बीतनेवाला है, जो उनपर बीतेगा । निर्धारित समय उनके लिए प्रातःकाल का है । तो क्या प्रातःकाल निकट नहीं ?"

• He said: yea ; and ye shall verily then be of those brought nigh.
  उसने कहा," हाँ, और निश्चित ही तुम तो उस समय निकटतम लोगों में से हो जाओगे ।"

• Well - nigh the heavens might be rent in sunder from above them. And the angels hallow the praise of their lord and ask forgiveness for these on the earth. Lo! Verily Allah! He is the Forgiver, the Merciful!
  लगता है कि आकाश स्वयं अपने ऊपर से फट पड़े । हाल यह है कि फ़रिश्ते अपने रब का गुणगान कर रहे, और उन लोगों के लिए जो धरती में है, क्षमा की प्रार्थना करते रहते है । सुन लो! निश्चय ही अल्लाह ही क्षमाशील, अत्यन्त दयावान है

• And the Garden shall be brought nigh to the God, fearing.
  और बेहश्त परहेज़ गारों के क़रीब कर दी जाएगी

• Allah it is Who revealed the Book with truth, and the balance, and what shall make you know that haply the hour be nigh ?
  ख़ुदा ही तो है जिसने सच्चाई के साथ किताब नाज़िल की और अदल और तुमको क्या मालूम यायद क़यामत क़रीब ही हो

• O ye who believe! Let there be witnesses between you when death draweth nigh unto one of you, at the time of bequest - two witnesses, just men from among you, or two others from another tribe, in case ye are campaigning in the land and the calamity of death befall you. Ye shall empanel them both after the prayer, and, if ye doubt, they shall be made to swear by Allah: We will not take a bribe, even though it were a near kinsman nor will we hide the testimony of Allah, for then indeed we should be of the sinful.
  ऐ ईमान लानेवालों! जब तुममें से किसी की मृत्यु का समय आ जाए तो वसीयत के समय तुममें से दो न्यायप्रिय व्यक्ति गवाह हों, या तुम्हारे ग़ैर लोगों में से दूसरे दो व्यक्ति गवाह बन जाएँ, यह उस समय कि यदि तुम कहीं सफ़र में गए हो और मृत्यु तुमपर आ पहुँचे । यदि तुम्हें कोई सन्देह हो तो नमाज़ के पश्चात उन दोनों को रोक लो, फिर वे दोनों अल्लाह की क़समें खाएँ कि" हम इसके बदले कोई मूल्य स्वीकार करनेवाले नहीं हैं चाहे कोई नातेदार ही क्यों न हो और न हम अल्लाह की गवाही छिपाते है । निस्सन्देह ऐसा किया तो हम गुनाहगार ठहरेंगे ।"

• And perform the prayer at the two ends of the day and nigh of the night ; surely the good deeds will drive away the evil deeds. That is a remembrance unto the mindful.
  और दिन के दोनो किनारे और कुछ रात गए नमाज़ पढ़ा करो नेकियाँ यक़ीनन गुनाहों को दूर कर देती हैं और याद करने वालो के लिए ये नसीहत व इबरत हैं
