  और परस्पर मिलकर जिहाद करो अल्लाह के मार्ग में, जैसा कि जिहाद का हक़ है । उसने तुम्हें चुन लिया है - और धर्म के मामले में तुमपर कोई तंगी और कठिनाई नहीं रखी । तुम्हारे बाप इबराहीम के पंथ को तुम्हारे लिए पसन्द किया । उसने इससे पहले तुम्हारा नाम मुस्लिम रखा था और इस ध्येय से - ताकि रसूल तुमपर गवाह हो और तुम लोगों पर गवाह हो । अतः नमाज़ का आयोजन करो और ज़कात दो और अल्लाह को मज़बूती से पकड़े रहो । वही तुम्हारा संरक्षक है । तो क्या ही अच्छा संरक्षक है और क्या ही अच्छा सहायक!

• O you who believe! When you contract a debt for a fixed period, write it down. Let a scribe write it down in justice between you. Let not the scribe refuse to write as Allah has taught him, so let him write. Let him who incurs the liability dictate, and he must fear Allah, his Lord, and diminish not anything of what he owes. But if the debtor is of poor understanding, or weak, or is unable himself to dictate, then let his guardian dictate in justice. And get two witnesses out of your own men. And if there are not two men, then a man and two women, such as you agree for witnesses, so that if one of them errs, the other can remind her. And the witnesses should not refuse when they are called on. You should not become weary to write it, whether it be small or big, for its fixed term, that is more just with Allah ; more solid as evidence, and more convenient to prevent doubts among yourselves, save when it is a present trade which you carry out on the spot among yourselves, then there is no sin on you if you do not write it down. But take witnesses whenever you make a commercial contract. Let neither scribe nor witness suffer any harm, but if you do, it would be wickedness in you. So be afraid of Allah ; and Allah teaches you. And Allah is the All - Knower of each and everything.
  ऐ ईमानदारों जब एक मियादे मुक़र्ररा तक के लिए आपस में क़र्ज क़ा लेन देन करो तो उसे लिखा पढ़ी कर लिया करो और लिखने वाले को चाहिये कि तुम्हारे दरमियान तुम्हारे क़ौल व क़रार को, इन्साफ़ से ठीक ठीक लिखे और लिखने वाले को लिखने से इन्कार न करना चाहिये जिस तरह ख़ुदा ने उसे सिखाया है उसी तरह उसको भी वे उज़्र लिख देना चाहिये और जिसके ज़िम्मे क़र्ज़ आयद होता है उसी को चाहिए कि की इबारत बताता जाये और ख़ुदा से डरे जो उसका सच्चा पालने वाला है डरता रहे और और क़र्ज़ देने वाले के हुक़ूक़ में कुछ कमी न करे अगर क़र्ज़ लेने वाला कम अक्ल या माज़ूर या ख़ुद का मतलब लिखवा न सकता हो तो उसका सरपरस्त ठीक ठीक इन्साफ़ से लिखवा दे और अपने लोगों में से जिन लोगों को तुम गवाही लेने के लिये पसन्द करो दो मर्दों की गवाही कर लिया करो फिर अगर दो मर्द न हो तो एक मर्द और दो औरतें उन दोनों में से अगर एक भूल जाएगी तो एक दूसरी को याद दिला देगी, और जब गवाह हुक्काम के सामने बुलाया जाएं तो हाज़िर होने से इन्कार न करे और क़र्ज़ का मामला ख्वाह छोटा हो या उसकी मियाद मुअय्युन तक की लिखवाने में काहिली न करो, ख़ुदा के नज़दीक ये लिखा पढ़ी बहुत ही मुन्सिफ़ाना कारवाई है और गवाही के लिए भी बहुत मज़बूती है और बहुत क़रीन है कि तुम आईन्दा किसी तरह के शक व शुबहा में न पड़ो मगर जब नक़द सौदा हो जो तुम लोग आपस में उलट फेर किया करते हो तो उसकी के न लिखने में तुम पर कुछ इल्ज़ाम नहीं है और जब उसी तरह की ख़रीद हो तो गवाह कर लिया करो और क़ातिब और गवाह को ज़रर न पहुँचाया जाए और अगर तुम ऐसा कर बैठे तो ये ज़रूर तुम्हारी शरारत है और ख़ुदा से डरो ख़ुदा तुमको मामले की सफ़ाई सिखाता है और वह हर चीज़ को ख़ूब जानता है

• Keep a close check on orphans till they attain the age of marriage ; then, if you find them to be mature of mind, hand over their property to them. Do not consume it by wasteful spending, before they come of age. If the guardian is affluent, let him abstain altogether, and if he is poor, let him have for himself what is just and reasonable. When you hand over their property to them, call witnesses in their presence ; God is sufficient as a Reckoner.
  और अनाथों को जाँचते रहो, यहाँ तक कि जब वे विवाह की अवस्था को पहुँच जाएँ, तो फिर यदि तुम देखो कि उनमें सूझ - बूझ आ गई है, तो उनके माल उन्हें सौंप दो, और इस भय से कि कहीं वे बड़े न हो जाएँ तुम उनके माल अनुचित रूप से उड़ाकर और जल्दी करके न खाओ । और जो धनवान हो, उसे तो से बचना ही चाहिए । हाँ, जो निर्धन हो, वह उचित रीति से कुछ खा सकता है । फिर जब उनके माल उन्हें सौंपने लगो, तो उनकी मौजूदगी में गवाह बना लो । हिसाब लेने के लिए अल्लाह काफ़ी है
