• Is he who was lifeless, then We gave him life and provided him with a light by which he walks among the people, like one who dwells in a manifold darkness which he cannot leave ? To the faithless is thus presented as decorous what they have been doing.
  क्या जो शख़्श मुर्दा था फिर हमने उसको ज़िन्दा किया और उसके लिए एक नूर बनाया जिसके ज़रिए वह लोगों में चलता फिरता है उस शख़्श का सामना हो सकता है जिसकी ये हालत है कि अंधेरे में कि वहाँ से किसी तरह निकल नहीं सकता उसी तरह काफिरों के वास्ते उनके आमाल आरास्ता कर दिए गए हैं

• Is He who sustains every soul in spite of what it earns ? Yet they ascribe partners to Allah! Say, ‘Name them! ’ Will you inform Him concerning something He does not know about on the earth, or concerning mere words ? Indeed, to the faithless, their scheming is presented as decorous, and they have been barred from the way ; and whomever Allah leads astray, has no guide.
  भला वह जो प्रत्येक व्यक्ति के सिर पर, उसकी कमाई पर निगाह रखते हुए खड़ा है ? फिर भी लोगों ने अल्लाह के सहभागी - ठहरा रखे है । कहो," तनिक उनके नाम तो लो! या ऐसा है कि तुम उसे ऐसी बात की ख़बर दे रहे हो, जिसके अस्तित्व की उसे धरती भर में ख़बर नहीं ? या यूँ ही यह एक ऊपरी बात ही बात है ?" नहीं, बल्कि इनकार करनेवालों को उनकी मक्कारी ही सुहावनी लगती है और वे मार्ग से रुक गए है । जिसे अल्लाह ही गुमराही में छोड़ दे, उसे कोई मार्ग पर लानेवाला नहीं

  अल्लाह की सौगंध! हम तुमसे पहले भी कितने समुदायों की ओर रसूल भेज चुके है, किन्तु शैतान ने उनकी करतूतों को उनके लिए सुहावना बना दिया । तो वही आज भी उनका संरक्षक है । उनके लिए तो एक दुखद यातना है

• Is someone the evil of whose conduct is presented as decorous to him, so he regards it as good.... Indeed Allah leads astray whomever He wishes, and guides whomever He wishes. So do not fret yourself to death regretting for them. Indeed Allah knows best what they do.
  तो भला वह शख्स जिसे उस का बुरा काम शैतानी अच्छा कर दिखाया गया है औ वह उसे अच्छा समझने लगा है तो यक़ीनी ये है कि ख़ुदा जिसे चाहता है गुमराही में छोड़ देता है और जिसे चाहता है राहे रास्त पर आने देता है तो उन पर अफसोस कर करके तुम्हारे दम न निकल जाए जो कुछ ये लोग करते हैं ख़ुदा उससे खूब वाक़िफ़ है

• Indeed nasee is an increase in unfaith, whereby the faithless are led astray. They allow it in one year and forbid it another year, so as to fit in with the number, which Allah has made inviolable, thus permitting what Allah has forbidden. Their evil deeds appear to them as decorous, and Allah does not guide the faithless lot.
  हटाना तो बस कुफ़्र में एक बृद्धि है, जिससे इनकार करनेवाले गुमराही में पड़ते है । किसी वर्ष वे उसे हलाल ठहरा लेते है और किसी वर्ष उसको हराम ठहरा लेते है, ताकि अल्लाह के आदृत की संख्या पूरी कर लें, और इस प्रकार अल्लाह के हराम किए हुए को वैध ठहरा ले । उनके अपने बुरे कर्म उनके लिए सुहाने हो गए है और अल्लाह इनकार करनेवाले लोगों को सीधा मार्ग नहीं दिखाता

• Rather, you thought that the Apostle and the faithful will not ever return to their folks, and that was made to seem decorous to your hearts ; you entertained evil thoughts, and you were a ruined lot.
  बात ये है कि तुम ये समझे बैठे थे कि रसूल और मोमिनीन हरगिज़ कभी अपने लड़के वालों में पलट कर आने ही के नहीं और यही बात तुम्हारे दिलों में भी खप गयी थी और इसी वजह से, तुम तरह तरह की बदगुमानियाँ करने लगे थे और तुम लोग आप बरबाद हुए
