• O ye who believe! Lo! many of the rabbis and the monks devour the wealth of mankind wantonly and debar from the way of Allah. They who hoard up gold and silver and spend it not in the way of Allah, unto them give tidings of a painful doom,
  ऐ ईमानदारों इसमें उसमें शक़ नहीं कि बहुतेरे आलिम ज़ाहिद लोगों के माल चख जाते है और ख़ुदा की राह से रोकते हैं और जो लोग सोना और चाँदी जमा करते जाते हैं और उसको ख़ुदा की राह में खर्च नहीं करते तो उन को दर्दनाक अज़ाब की ख़ुशखबरी सुना दो

• What have they that Allah should not punish them, when they debar from the Inviolable Place of Worship, though they are not its fitting guardians. Its fitting guardians are those only who keep their duty to Allah. But most of them know not.
  और जब ये लोग लोगों को मस्जिदुल हराम से रोकते है तो फिर उनके लिए कौन सी बात बाक़ी है कि उन पर अज़ाब न नाज़िल करे और ये लोग तो ख़ानाए काबा के मुतवल्ली भी नहीं इसके मुतवल्ली तो सिर्फ परहेज़गार लोग हैं मगर इन काफ़िरों में से बहुतेरे नहीं जानते

• When you divorce women, and they have reached their term, do not debar them from marrying their husbands, when they have agreed together honourably. That is an admonition for whoso of you believes in God and the Last Day ; that is cleaner and purer for you ; God knows, and you know not.
  और जब तुम औरतों को तलाक़ दो और वह अपनी मुद्दत पूरी कर लें तो उन्हें अपने शौहरों के साथ निकाह करने से न रोकों जब आपस में दोनों मिया बीवी शरीयत के मुवाफिक़ अच्छी तरह मिल जुल जाएँ ये उसी शख्स को नसीहत की जाती है जो तुम में से ख़ुदा और रोजे आखेरत पर ईमान ला चुका हो यही तुम्हारे हक़ में बड़ी पाकीज़ा और सफ़ाई की बात है और उसकी ख़ूबी ख़ुदा खूब जानता है और तुम नहीं जानते हो

• Be not as those who came forth from their dwellings boastfully and to be seen of men, and debar from the way of Allah, while Allah is surrounding all they do.
  और उन लोगों के ऐसे न हो जाओ जो इतराते हुए और लोगों के दिखलाने के वास्ते अपने घरों से निकल खड़े हुए और लोगों को ख़ुदा की राह से रोकते हैं और जो कुछ भी वह लोग करते हैं ख़ुदा उस पर अहाता किए हुए है

• Who debar from the path of Allah and would have it crooked, and who are disbelievers in the Last Day.
  जो अल्लाह के मार्ग से रोकते और उसे टेढ़ा करना चाहते है और जो आख़िरत का इनकार करते है,

• Yet why should God not punish them when they debar people from the Sacred Mosque, although they are not its guardians ? Its rightful guardians are those who fear God, though most of them do not realize it.
  किन्तु अब क्या है उनके पास कि अल्लाह उन्हें यातना न दे, जबकि वे ' मस्जिदे हराम ' से रोकते है, हालाँकि वे उसके कोई व्यवस्थापक नहीं ? उसके व्यवस्थापक तो केवल डर रखनेवाले ही है, परन्तु उनके अधिकतर लोग जानते नहीं

• Who debar from the way of Allah and would have it crooked, and who are disbelievers in the Hereafter.
  जो ख़ुदा के रास्ते से लोगों को रोकते हैं और उसमें कज़ी निकालना चाहते हैं और यही लोग आख़िरत के भी मुन्किर है

• Lo! those who disbelieve spend their wealth in order that they may debar from the way of Allah. They will spend it, then it will become an anguish for them, then they will be conquered. And those who disbelieve will be gathered unto hell,
  इसमें शक़ नहीं कि ये कुफ्फार अपने माल महज़ इस वास्ते खर्च करेगें फिर उसके बाद उनकी हसरत का बाइस होगा फिर आख़िर ये लोग हार जाएँगें और जिन लोगों ने कुफ्र एख्तियार किया सब के सब जहन्नुम की तरफ हाके जाएँगें

• They have purchased with the revelations of Allah a little gain, so they debar from His way. Lo! evil is that which they are wont to do.
  और उन लोगों ने ख़ुदा की आयतों के बदले थोड़ी सी क़ीमत हासिल करके उसकी राह से रोक दिया बेशक ये लोग जो कुछ करते हैं ये बहुत ही बुरा है

• For those who disbelieve and debar from the way of Allah, We add doom to doom because they wrought corruption,
  जिन लोगों ने कुफ्र एख्तेयार किया और लोगों को ख़ुदा की राह से रोका उनके फ़साद वाले कामों के बदले में उनके लिए हम अज़ाब पर अज़ाब बढ़ाते जाएँगें
