  और तुममें से जो शख्स आज़ाद इफ्फ़तदार औरतों से निकाह करने की माली हैसियत से क़ुदरत न रखता हो तो वह तुम्हारी उन मोमिना लौन्डियों से जो तुम्हारे कब्ज़े में हैं निकाह कर सकता है और ख़ुदा तुम्हारे ईमान से ख़ूब वाक़िफ़ है तुममें एक दूसरे का हमजिन्स है पस उनके मालिकों की इजाज़त से लौन्डियों से निकाह करो और उनका मेहर हुस्ने सुलूक से दे दो मगर उन्हीं से निकाह करो जो इफ्फ़त के साथ तुम्हारी पाबन्द रहें न तो खुले आम ज़िना करना चाहें और न चोरी छिपे से आशनाई फिर जब तुम्हारी पाबन्द हो चुकी उसके बाद कोई बदकारी करे तो जो सज़ा आज़ाद बीवियों को दी जाती है उसकी आधी लौन्डियों को दी जाएगी से निकाह कर भी सकता है तो वह शख्स जिसको ज़िना में मुब्तिला हो जाने का ख़ौफ़ हो और सब्र करे तो तुम्हारे हक़ में ज्यादा बेहतर है और ख़ुदा बख्शने वाला मेहरबान है

• And those who do not implore besides God any other god, and do not kill the soul which God has made sacred—except in the pursuit of justice—and do not commit adultery. Whoever does that will face penalties.
  जो अल्लाह के साथ किसी दूसरे इष्ट - पूज्य को नहीं पुकारते और न नाहक़ किसी जीव को जिस को अल्लाह ने हराम किया है, क़त्ल करते है । और न वे व्यभिचार करते है - जो कोई यह काम करे तो वह गुनाह के वबाल से दोचार होगा

• O Prophet! When believing women come to you and pledge themselves not to associate in worship any other thing with God, not to steal or commit adultery or kill their children or indulge in slander, intentionally inventing falsehoods, and not to disobey you in that which is right, then accept their pledge of allegiance and pray to God to forgive them their sins, for God is forgiving and merciful.
  ऐ नबी! जब तुम्हारे पास ईमानवाली स्त्रियाँ आकर तुमसे इसपर ' बैअत ' करे कि वे अल्लाह के साथ किसी चीज़ को साझी नहीं ठहराएँगी और न चोरी करेंगी और न व्यभिचार करेंगी, और न अपनी औलाद की हत्या करेंगी और न अपने हाथों और पैरों को बीच कोई आरोप घड़कर लाएँगी. और न किसी भले काम में तुम्हारी अवज्ञा करेंगी, तो उनसे ' बैअत ' ले लो और उनके लिए अल्लाह से क्षमा की प्रार्थना करो । निश्चय ही अत्यन्त बहुत क्षमाशील, अत्यन्त दयावान है

• O you who believe! It is not permitted for you to inherit women against their will. And do not coerce them in order to take away some of what you had given them, unless they commit a proven adultery. And live with them in kindness. If you dislike them, it may be that you dislike something in which God has placed much good.
  ऐ ईमानदारों तुमको ये जायज़ नहीं कि औरतों से के ज़बरदस्ती वारिस बन जाओ और जो कुछ तुमने उन्हें दिया है उसमें से कुछ उन्हें दूसरे के साथ न रोको हॉ जब वह खुल्लम खुल्ला कोई बदकारी करें तो अलबत्ता रोकने में नहीं और बीवियों के साथ अच्छा सुलूक करते रहो और अगर तुम किसी वजह से उन्हें नापसन्द करो अजब नहीं कि किसी चीज़ को तुम नापसन्द करते हो और ख़ुदा तुम्हारे लिए उसमें बहुत बेहतरी कर दे

  और वह लोग जो ख़ुदा के साथ दूसरे माबूदों की परसतिश नही करते और जिस जान के मारने को ख़ुदा ने हराम कर दिया है उसे नाहक़ क़त्ल नहीं करते और न ज़िना करते हैं और जो शख्स ऐसा करेगा वह आप अपने गुनाह की सज़ा भुगतेगा
