1. Although, the show is a masterpiece it actually only took six hours for the writers Dan Harmon and Justin Rolland write the Pilot episode. The episode was written and sold on the exact same day.
2. Rick and Morty is a not a so common show. In several scenes, it is observed that Rick is aware that he is on a cartoon show. Rick frequently talks to the audience.
3. Even though the character Mr Poopybutthole was first seen in the episode “Total Rickall”, the writers wanted him to look like he was part of the series so he is usually seen in the opening credits.
4. Officially the colour for Mr Meeseeks was decided to be neon taupe. But the concept of the colour did not go well with the viewers. So the producers decided that the colour of Meeseeks should be blue.
5. The episode “Rixty Minutes” was actually released before it was aired on Adult Swim 109 15-second videos on Instagram. This was the first Tv show premiere on Instagram.
6. Justin Roiland played the role of Rick. And he cannot burp on command. So he had to drink a lot of beer or water during the recording for the episode to perform the voice of Rick. As Rick burps in every single line, Justin had a bad stomach ache and he had to go to the hospital.
7. There was a crossover between Rick and Morty and The Simpsons. Rick and Morty were featured in the last episode of season 26 which was the couch gag episode. It is a mini story and it can be seen on YouTube.
8. There is a theory that Rick killed his original Morty and as a result travelled to another dimension to find a new Morty who he will never let leave his side. Many fans believe this Evil Morty is the original Morty that Rick thinks he accidentally killed and Evil Morty is secretly planning his revenge on Rick.
9. Justin Roiland, the creator of the show, does the voice for both, Rick and Morty.
10. All the characters in the show wear a seatbelt while they are travelling in the vehicle but Rick never wears a seat belt.
