The eligibility criteria is only to pass plus two from a recognized state or central institute. The candidate must be of age group 18 to 27 years. The selection is based on the performance in the objective exam followed by a skill test. The sections of exam are reasoning, english language and general intelligence and general awareness. Other exams conducted by SSC are CHAL (combined higher secondary level) exam. It was written for the post LDC, UDC, DEO and postal/ sortint assistant. The salary structure of SSC organised post is about ₹24,000 for postal assistant, data entry operator and lower division clerk.

  • Another common exam for plus two graduates railway recruitment exam. The UPSC(union public service commission) and central government conducts this exam for the recruitment of candidates for various cadres in railway. The exam is both long as well as short type with 100 questions pertaining to general awareness.The test is computer based with duration of 90 minutes. In order to appear for the exam candidate must be of the age group 17 to 21 with minimum 50% marks for plus two board examination. Plus two graduates can apply for the post of assistant loco pilot, railway clerks and constables, station master and ticket collector.
