Before writing this article, I planned and planned about the content and the topic of the article. I wanted to find something intriguing, enticing and lucid and simple at the same time. I was not able to come up with anything that would be captivating enough for the readers. But then I realized that I could write something about the fact that we all face a lot of problems planning and following a particular stereotyped timeline of events to complete a certain task.

Why not aim to not make a plan about your holiday destinations, career recourses, the house you are going to shift in, the college you are going to opt for, the clubs and activities that you are going to be a part of? Why not just take a stroll down the street to pick up some great clothes for yourself instead of planning to go to a fancy mall and buying dresses that would probably be stacked in the corner of your wardrobe as if screaming at you for not being used anymore. Why don’t we rely upon our intuitions anymore? What is it with planning everything? Why do you need to plan to go to a restaurant and why not decide your destination as you commence your journey to the city?

Ours is a generation which abounds in people who boast of having dreams, aspirations, ambitions and various purposes in life. Not really diving into the plain highway of talk, I just want to make a point that these people who speak of opportunities and new avenues are the same ones who insist upon following a certain designated path and living a particular life. They are the ones who make sure they are condescending enough for those who have still not figured out what to do in life. I stand on behalf of all the people who are intuitive, impulsive, reckless, spontaneous and indecisive as to what to do with life. I just go with the flow and give in to the timing and direction of my life. If the direction goes wrong, I learn and if it goes right, I grow. And I never believed in having a plan. I have had the most erratic decisions ever taken by an individual. I have decided my discipline of engineering within an hour and that pretty much sums up my level of making plans.

All I plan in life is to not have one. Life isn’t much about how well you plan things, it’s more about how you make things work.
