Education is the most POWERFUL weapon which you can use to CHANGE the world.

Everyone says education is important. You have to study to get good marks and to get admission in a good college and what not. But the question is; do we have a good education system in India? Is it sufficient for the students? Does it helps them to learn something or just makes them a book worm?

The answer is NO….Indian education system is not sufficient for students. It helps in bringing disciple in students but does not provide overall development of students. It has given scope for study of different subjects but the competition is also increasing.

Earlier, students were taught in Gurukul, where students used to live in guru’s house. Guru used to teach the students and in return the students used to do different activities them. This helped in building strong relationship between a teacher and a student.

But today, education has become a source of income for both private and public institution. The main aim of today’s system is to make students mug up everything rather than understanding. Everyone focuses on mugging up things, so that they can good marks. Fetching of good marks is the ultimate goal of this system. No one actually cares about the talent or skills of children. According to Indian education system, if you don’t get good marks, then you can’t do anything and you are useless, irrespective of the talent that you have. This creates feeling of competition among the students and hence leads to stress and fights.

It is shameful to hear all this stuff. But we all have heard about it. We might have felt unhappy after listening this but then also we can’t do anything about it. Indian education system is the worst system. Education system of other countries focuses on the practical knowledge than mugging of things. They focus on developing practical skills of student. They try that students could explore and learn new things rather than doing a same things again and again.

This actually shows there is a lot of scope of improvement in Indian education system. Better teaching methods and ways should be used. Focus should be on understanding, rather than mugging up. The focus of schools should be on education of students rather than filling of their pockets. Schools are the building blocks of a country and hence steps should be taken to improve it.
