  अल्लाह ने एक मिसाल बयान की हैः एक बस्ती थी जो निश्चिन्त और सन्तुष्ट थी । हर जगह से उसकी रोज़ी प्रचुरता के साथ चली आ रही थी कि वह अल्लाह की नेमतों के प्रति अकृतज्ञता दिखाने लगी । तब अल्लाह ने उसके निवासियों को उनकी करतूतों के बदले में भूख का मज़ा चख़ाया और भय का वस्त्र पहनाया

• That was the Requital We gave them because they ungratefully rejected Faith: and never do We give requital except to such as are ungrateful rejecters.
  ये हमने उनकी नाशुक्री की सज़ा दी और हम तो बड़े नाशुक्रों ही की सज़ा किया करते हैं

  और हर शख़्श को जो कुछ भी उसने किया था उसका पूरा पूरा बदला मिलेगा और उन पर किसी तरह का जुल्म न किया जाएगा ख़ुदा ने एक गाँव की मसल बयान फरमाई जिसके रहने वाले हर तरह के चैन व इत्मेनान में थे हर तरफ से बाफराग़त उनकी रोज़ी उनके पास आई थी फिर उन लोगों ने ख़ुदा की नूअमतों की नाशुक्री की तो ख़ुदा ने उनकी करतूतों की बदौलत उनको मज़ा चखा दिया

• Do they not see that We have given them a sanctuary of safety whereas people around them are being snatched away ? So, do they believe in falsehood and ungratefully deny Allah ' s bounties ?
  क्या उन्होंने देखा नही कि हमने एक शान्तिमय हरम बनाया, हालाँकि उनके आसपास से लोग उचक लिए जाते है, तो क्या फिर भी वे असत्य पर ईमान रखते है और अल्लाह की अनुकम्पा के प्रति कृतघ्नता दिखलाते है ?

• We send them rain from time to time so that they may take heed. Many people have responded, but ungratefully.
  उसे हमने उनके बीच विभिन्न ढ़ंग से पेश किया है, ताकि वे ध्यान दें । परन्तु अधिकतर लोगों ने इनकार और अकृतज्ञता के अतिरिक्त दूसरी नीति अपनाने से इनकार ही किया
