  ताकि तुम समझो फिर उसके बाद तुम्हारे दिल सख्त हो गये पस वह मिसल पत्थर के थे या उससे भी ज्यादा करख्त क्योंकि पत्थरों में बाज़ तो ऐसे होते हैं कि उनसे नहरें जारी हो जाती हैं और बाज़ ऐसे होते हैं कि उनमें दरार पड़ जाती है और उनमें से पानी निकल पड़ता है और बाज़ पत्थर तो ऐसे होते हैं कि खुदा के ख़ौफ से गिर पड़ते हैं और जो कुछ तुम कर रहे हो उससे खुदा ग़ाफिल नहीं है

• These are the ones whose hearts, ears, and eyes Allah has sealed ; and they are the neglectful.
  ये वही लोग हैं जिनके दिलों पर और उनके कानों पर और उनकी ऑंखों पर खुदा ने अलामात मुक़र्रर कर दी है

• And assuredly We created above you seven paths, and of the creation We have not been neglectful.
  और हमने तुम्हारे ऊपर सात रास्ते बनाए है । और हम सृष्टि - कार्य से ग़ाफ़िल नहीं

• Wherefore We took vengeance on them and drowned them in the sea, for they belied Our signs and were neglectful of them.
  फिर हमने उनसे बदला लिया और उन्हें गहरे पानी में डूबो दिया, क्योंकि उन्होंने हमारी निशानियों को ग़लत समझा और उनसे ग़ाफिल हो गए

  वे सांसारिक जीवन के केवल वाह्य रूप को जानते है । किन्तु आख़िरत की ओर से वे बिलकुल असावधान है

  और अपने परवरदिगार को अपने जी ही में गिड़गिड़ा के और डर के और बहुत चीख़ के नहीं आवाज़ से सुबह व शाम याद किया करो और ग़ाफिल बिल्कुल न हो जाओ

• And be patient with those who call to their Lord in the morning and evening, desiring His Face. And do not turn your eyes away from them desiring the good things of this life, nor obey he whose heart We have made neglectful of Our remembrance ; so that he follows his own lust, and his affair has become excessive.
  और जो लोग अपने परवरदिगार को सुबह सवेरे और झटपट वक्त शाम को याद करते हैं और उसकी खुशनूदी के ख्वाहाँ हैं उनके उनके साथ तुम खुद अपने नफस पर जब्र करो और उनकी तरफ से अपनी नज़र न फेरो कि तुम दुनिया में ज़िन्दगी की आराइश चाहने लगो और जिसके दिल को हमने अपने ज़िक्र से ग़ाफिल कर दिया है और वह अपनी ख्वाहिशे नफसानी के पीछे पड़ा है और उसका काम सरासर ज्यादती है उसका कहना हरगिज़ न मानना

• Verily those who hope not for meeting with us, and, well - pleased with the life of the world, and are satisfied therewith, and those who are neglectful of our signs.
  रहे वे लोग जो हमसे मिलने की आशा नहीं रखते और सांसारिक जीवन ही पर निहाल हो गए है और उसी पर संतुष्ट हो बैठे, और जो हमारी निशानियों की ओर से असावधान है ;
