• If she finds herself in men ' s hearts sur - rounded with selfishness and hatred and jealousy and malignance and envy and strife, if treachery and greed and ingratitude are mixed in the sacred chalice, if grossness of passion and unrefined desire degrade devotion, in such hearts the gracious and beautiful Goddess will not linger.

  या ख़ुदा ने जो अपने फ़ज़ल से लोगों को अता फ़रमाया है इसके रश्क पर चले जाते हैं हमने तो इबराहीम की औलाद को किताब और अक्ल की बातें अता फ़रमायी हैं और उनको बहुत बड़ी सल्तनत भी दी

• Those who lagged behind will presently, When ye march forth to take spoils, leave us, we shall follow say you. They intend to change the word of Allah. Say thou: ye shall by no means follow us ; thus hath Allah said afore. Then they will say: Aye! ye envy us. Aye! little it is they are wont to understand.
  जब तुम ग़नीमतों को प्राप्त करने के लिए उनकी ओर चलोगे तो पीछे रहनेवाले कहेंगे," हमें भी अनुमति दी जाए कि हम तुम्हारे साथ चले ।" वे चाहते है कि अल्लाह का कथन को बदल दे । कह देना," तुम हमारे साथ कदापि नहीं चल सकते । अल्लाह ने पहले ही ऐसा कह दिया है ।" इसपर वे कहेंगे," नहीं, बल्कि तुम हमसे ईर्ष्या कर रहे हो ।" नहीं, बल्कि वे लोग समझते थोड़े ही है

• Many of the people of the Scripture wish that if they could turn you away as disbelievers after you have believed, out of envy from their ownselves, even, after the truth has become manifest unto them. But forgive and overlook, till Allah brings His Command. Verily, Allah is Able to do all things.
  अहले किताब में से अक्सर लोग अपने दिली हसद की वजह से ये ख्वाहिश रखते हैं कि तुमको ईमान लाने के बाद फिर काफ़िर बना दें उन पर हक़ ज़ाहिर हो चुका है उसके बाद भी पस तुम माफ करो और दरगुज़र करो यहाँ तक कि खुदा अपना हुक्म भेजे बेशक खुदा हर चीज़ पर क़ादिर है

• Humanity used to be one community ; then God sent the prophets, bringing good news and giving warnings. And He sent down with them the Scripture, with the truth, to judge between people regarding their differences. But none differed over it except those who were given it—after the proofs had come to them—out of mutual envy between them. Then God guided those who believed to the truth they had disputed, in accordance with His will. God guides whom He wills to a straight path.
  सब लोग एक ही दीन रखते थे ख़ुदा ने नजात से ख़ुश ख़बरी देने वाले और अज़ाब से डराने वाले पैग़म्बरों को भेजा और इन पैग़म्बरों के साथ बरहक़ किताब भी नाज़िल की ताकि जिन बातों में लोग झगड़ते थे किताबे ख़ुदा फ़ैसला कर दे और फिर अफ़सोस तो ये है कि इस हुक्म से इख्तेलाफ किया भी तो उन्हीं लोगों ने जिन को किताब दी गयी थी और वह भी जब उन के पास ख़ुदा के साफ एहकाम आ चुके उसके बाद और वह भी आपस की शरारत से तब ख़ुदा ने अपनी मेहरबानी से ईमानदारों को वह राहे हक़ दिखा दी जिस में उन लोगों ने इख्तेलाफ डाल रखा था और ख़ुदा जिस को चाहे राहे रास्त की हिदायत करता है

• Do they envy others for the bounty that Allah has bestowed upon them ? We bestowed upon the house of Abraham the Book and Wis - dom, and We bestowed upon them a mighty dominion,

  अहले किताब में से अक्सर लोग अपने दिली हसद की वजह से ये ख्वाहिश रखते हैं कि तुमको ईमान लाने के बाद फिर काफ़िर बना दें उन पर हक़ ज़ाहिर हो चुका है उसके बाद भी पस तुम माफ करो और दरगुज़र करो यहाँ तक कि खुदा अपना हुक्म भेजे बेशक खुदा हर चीज़ पर क़ादिर है

• Evil is that for which they have sold their souls, by defying what Allah has sent down, out of envy that Allah should bestow His grace on any of His servants that He wishes. Thus, they earned wrath upon wrath, and there is a humiliating punishment for the faithless.
