  अल्लाह को तुम्हें यातना देकर क्या करना है, यदि तुम कृतज्ञता दिखलाओ और ईमान लाओ ? अल्लाह गुणग्राहक, सब कुछ जाननेवाला है

• Allah thus commands you concerning your children: the share of the male is like that of two females. If more than two daughters, they shall have two - thirds of the inheritance ; and if there is only one daughter, then she shall have half the inheritance. If the deceased has any offspring, each of his parents shall have a sixth of the inheritance ; and if the deceased has no child and his parents alone inherit him, then one - third shall go to his mother ; and if the deceased has brothers and sisters, then one - sixth shall go to his mother. All these shares are to be given after payment of the bequest he might have made or any debts outstanding against him. You do not know which of them, your parents or your children, are more beneficial to you. But these portions have been determined by Allah, for He indeed knows all, is cognizant of all beneficent considerations.
  ख़ुदा तुम्हारी औलाद के हक़ में तुमसे वसीयत करता है कि लड़के का हिस्सा दो लड़कियों के बराबर है और अगर औलाद में सिर्फ लड़कियॉ ही हों या से ज्यादा तो उनका कुल तर्के का दो तिहाई है और अगर एक लड़की हो तो उसका आधा है और मय्यत के बाप मॉ हर एक का अगर मय्यत की कोई औलाद मौजूद न हो तो माल मुस्तरद का में से मुअय्यन छटा हिस्सा है और अगर मय्यत के कोई औलाद न हो और उसके सिर्फ मॉ बाप ही वारिस हों तो मॉ का मुअय्यन एक तिहाई हिस्सा तय है और बाक़ी बाप का लेकिन अगर मय्यत के भाई भी मौजूद हों तो उस वक्त मॉ का हिस्सा छठा ही होगा मय्यत नें जिसके बारे में वसीयत की है उसकी तालीम और क़र्ज़ के बाद तुम्हारे बाप हों या बेटे तुम तो यह नहीं जानते हों कि उसमें कौन तुम्हारी नाफ़रमानी में ज्यादा क़रीब है हिस्सा तो सिर्फ ख़ुदा की तरफ़ से मुअय्यन होता है क्योंकि ख़ुदा तो ज़रूर हर चीज़ को जानता और तदबीर वाला है

• But if you do not find any one therein, then do not enter them until permission is given to you ; and if it is said to you: Go back, then go back ; this is purer for you ; and Allah is cognizant of what you do.
  फिर यदि उनमें किसी को न पाओ, तो उनमें प्रवेश न करो जब तक कि तुम्हें अनुमति प्राप्त न हो । और यदि तुमसे कहा जाए कि वापस हो जाओ तो वापस हो जाओ, यही तुम्हारे लिए अधिक अच्छी बात है । अल्लाह भली - भाँति जानता है जो कुछ तुम करते हो

• If you give charity openly, that is good. But if you keep it secret, and give it to the needy in private, that is better for you. It will atone for some of your misdeeds. God is cognizant of what you do.
  अगर ख़ैरात को ज़ाहिर में दो तो यह भी अच्छा है और अगर उसको छिपाओ और हाजतमन्दों को दो तो ये छिपा कर देना तुम्हारे हक़ में ज्यादा बेहतर है और ऐसे देने को ख़ुदा तुम्हारे गुनाहों का कफ्फ़ारा कर देगा और जो कुछ तुम करते हो ख़ुदा उससे ख़बरदार है

• Now surely Allah ' s is whatever is in the heavens and the earth ; He knows indeed that to which you are conforming yourselves ; and on the day on which they are returned to Him He will inform them of what they did ; and Allah is cognizant of all things.
  सुन लो! आकाशों और धरती में जो कुछ भी है, अल्लाह का है । वह जानता है तुम जिस पर हो । और जिस दिन वे उसकी ओर पलटेंगे, तो जो कुछ उन्होंने किया होगा, वह उन्हें बता देगा । अल्लाह तो हर चीज़ को जानता है

• As for those who believed afterwards, and emigrated and struggled with you—these belong with you. But family members are nearer to one another in the Book of God. God is cognizant of everything.
  और जो लोग बाद में ईमान लाए और उन्होंने हिजरत की और तुम्हारे साथ मिलकर जिहाद किया तो ऐसे लोग भी तुम में ही से हैं । किन्तु अल्लाह की किताब मे ख़ून के रिश्तेदार एक - दूसरे के ज़्यादा हक़दार है । निश्चय ही अल्लाह को हर चीज़ का ज्ञान है

• Muhammad is not the father of any of your men, but he is the Apostle of Allah and the Last of the prophets ; and Allah is cognizant of all things.
  मुहम्मद तुम्हारे पुरुषों में से किसी के बाप नहीं है, बल्कि वे अल्लाह के रसूल और नबियों के समापक है । अल्लाह को हर चीज़ का पूरा ज्ञान है

• He knows what is in the heavens and the earth, and He knows what you hide and what you manifest ; and Allah is cognizant of what is in the hearts.
  जो कुछ सारे आसमान व ज़मीन में है वह जानता है और जो कुछ तुम छुपा कर या खुल्लम खुल्ला करते हो उससे वाकिफ़ है और ख़ुदा तो दिल के भेद तक से आगाह है
