  ऐ किताबवालों! अपने धर्म में हद से आगे न बढ़ो और अल्लाह से जोड़कर सत्य के अतिरिक्त कोई बात न कहो । मरयम का बेटा मसीह - ईसा इसके अतिरिक्त कुछ नहीं कि अल्लाह का रसूल है और उसका एक ' कलिमा ' है, जिसे उसने मरमय की ओर भेजा था । और उसकी ओर से एक रूह है । तो तुम अल्लाह पर और उसके रसूलों पर ईमान लाओ और" तीन" न कहो - बाज़ आ जाओ! यह तुम्हारे लिए अच्छा है - अल्लाह तो केवल अकेला पूज्य है । यह उसकी महानता के प्रतिकूल है कि उसका कोई बेटा हो । आकाशों और धरती में जो कुछ है, उसी का है । और अल्लाह कार्यसाधक की हैसियत से काफ़ी है
