  और क़ियामत के दिन तुम उन लोगों को देखोगे जिन्होंने अल्लाह पर झूठ घड़कर थोपा है कि उनके चेहरे स्याह है । क्या अहंकारियों का ठिकाना जहन्नम में नहीं हैं ?"

• And dutiful toward her who bore me, and hath not made me arrogant, unblest.
  और अपनी माँ का हक़ अदा करनेवाला बनाया । और उसने मुझे सरकश और बेनसीब नहीं बनाया

• And they will come out before Allah all together, and the weak will say to those who were arrogant," Indeed, we were your followers, so can you avail us anything against the punishment of Allah ?" They will say," If Allah had guided us, we would have guided you. It is all the same for us whether we show intolerance or are patient: there is for us no place of escape."
  सबके सब अल्लाह के सामने खुलकर आ जाएँगे तो कमज़ोर लोग, उन लोगों से जो बड़े बने हुए थे, कहेंगे," हम तो तुम्हारे पीछे चलते थे । तो क्या तुम अल्लाह की यातना में से कुछ हमपर टाल सकते हो ? वे कहेंगे," यदि अल्लाह हमें मार्ग दिखाता तो हम तुम्हें भी दिखाते । अब यदि हम व्याकुल हों या धैर्य से काम लें, हमारे लिए बराबर है । हमारे लिए बचने का कोई उपाय नहीं ।"

• As for those who have faith and do righteous deeds, He will pay them in full their rewards, and He will enhance them out of His grace. But those who are disdainful and arrogant, He will punish them with a painful punishment, and they will not find besides Allah any guardian or helper.
  पस जिन लोगों ने ईमान कुबूल किया है और अच्छे काम किए हैं उनका उन्हें सवाब पूरा पूरा भर देगा बल्कि अपने फ़ज़ल से कुछ और ज्यादा ही देगा और लोग उसका बन्दा होने से इन्कार करते थे और शेख़ी करते थे उन्हें तो दर्दनाक अज़ाब में मुब्तिला करेगा और लुत्फ़ ये है कि वह लोग ख़ुदा के सिवा न अपना सरपरस्त ही पाएंगे और न मददगार

• On the Day of Judgment you will see the faces of those who had invented falsehood against God blackened. Is not hell the dwelling of the arrogant ones ?
  और क़ियामत के दिन तुम उन लोगों को देखोगे जिन्होंने अल्लाह पर झूठ घड़कर थोपा है कि उनके चेहरे स्याह है । क्या अहंकारियों का ठिकाना जहन्नम में नहीं हैं ?"

• From My signs I will turn away the unrightfully, arrogant in the land, so that even if they witness every sign they would not believe it. If they see the path of righteousness, they shall not take it as a path ; but if they see the path of error, they shall take it for their path because they belied Our signs and were inattentive towards them.
  जो लोग ज़मीन पर नाहक़ अकड़ते फिरते हैं उनको अपनी आयतों से बहुत जल्द फेर दूंगा और मै क्या फेरूंगा ख़ुदा अगर दुनिया जहॉन के सारे मौजिज़े भी देखते तो भी ये उन पर ईमान न लाएगें और सीधा रास्ता भी देख पाएं तो भी अपनी राह न जाएगें और अगर गुमराही की राह देख लेगें तो झटपट उसको अपना तरीक़ा बना लेगें ये कजरवी इस सबब से हुई कि उन लोगों ने हमारी आयतों को झुठला दिया और उनसे ग़फलत करते रहे

• He will grant those who have believed and done good deeds their rewards in full, and will give them more out of His bounty. He will bestow upon those who have been disdainful and arrogant a painful chastisement ; and they will find for themselves neither a guardian nor a helper besides Allah.
  पस जिन लोगों ने ईमान कुबूल किया है और अच्छे काम किए हैं उनका उन्हें सवाब पूरा पूरा भर देगा बल्कि अपने फ़ज़ल से कुछ और ज्यादा ही देगा और लोग उसका बन्दा होने से इन्कार करते थे और शेख़ी करते थे उन्हें तो दर्दनाक अज़ाब में मुब्तिला करेगा और लुत्फ़ ये है कि वह लोग ख़ुदा के सिवा न अपना सरपरस्त ही पाएंगे और न मददगार

• On the Day when those who disbelieve will be exposed to the Fire:" You received your good things in the life of the world, and you took your pleasure therein. Now this Day you shall be recompensed with a torment of humiliation, because you were arrogant in the land without a right, and because you used to rebel and disobey.
  और याद करो जिस दिन वे लोग जिन्होंने इनकार किया, आग के सामने पेश किए जाएँगे ।," तुम अपने सांसारिक जीवन में अच्छी रुचिकर चीज़े नष्ट कर बैठे और उनका मज़ा ले चुके । अतः आज तुम्हे अपमानजनक यातना दी जाएगी, क्योंकि तुम धरती में बिना किसी हक़ के घमंड करते रहे और इसलिए कि तुम आज्ञा का उल्लंघन करते रहे ।"

• And those who do not expect the meeting with Us say," Why were not angels sent down to us, or do we see our Lord ?" They have certainly become arrogant within themselves and insolent with great insolence.
  जिन्हें हमसे मिलने की आशंका नहीं, वे कहते है," क्यों न फ़रिश्ते हमपर उतरे या फिर हम अपने रब को देखते ?" उन्होंने अपने जी में बड़ा घमंज किया और बड़ी सरकशी पर उतर आए

• Moses said, ‘I seek the protection of my Lord and your Lord from every arrogant one who does not believe in the Day of Reckoning. ’
  मूसा ने कहा," मैंने हर अहंकारी के मुक़ाबले में, जो हिसाब के दिन पर ईमान नहीं रखता, अपने रब और तुम्हारे रब की शरण ले ली है ।"
