  दुनियावी ज़िन्दगी तो बस खेल तमाशा है और अगर तुम ईमान रखोगे और परहेज़गारी करोगे तो वह तुमको तुम्हारे अज्र इनायत फरमाएगा और तुमसे तुम्हारे माल नहीं तलब करेगा

  दावत, विनोद और मनोरंजन के लिए एक सामाजिक जनसमूह होता है ।

• What is the life of this world but amusement and play ? but verily the Home in the Hereafter, - that is life indeed, if they but knew.
  और यह सांसारिक जीवन तो केवल दिल का बहलावा और खेल है । निस्संदेह पश्चात्वर्ती घर ही वास्तविक जीवन है । क्या ही अच्छा होता कि वे जानते!

• " Such as took their religion to be mere amusement and play, and were deceived by the life of the world." That day shall We forget them as they forgot the meeting of this day of theirs, and as they were wont to reject Our signs.
  उनके लिए जिन्होंने अपना धर्म खेल - तमाशा ठहराया और जिन्हें सांसारिक जीवन ने धोखे में डाल दिया, तो आज हम भी उन्हें भुला देंगे, जिस प्रकार वे अपने इस दिन की मुलाक़ात को भूले रहे और हमारी आयतों का इनकार करते रहे

• Know ye, that the life of this world is but play and amusement, pomp and mutual boasting and multiplying, among yourselves, riches and children. Here is a similitude: How rain and the growth which it brings forth, delight the tillers ; soon it withers ; thou wilt see it grow yellow ; then it becomes dry and crumbles away. But in the Hereafter is a Penalty severe. And Forgiveness from Allah and Good Pleasure. And what is the life of this world, but goods and chattels of deception ?
  जान लो, सांसारिक जीवन तो बस एक खेल और तमाशा है और एक साज - सज्जा, और तुम्हारा आपस में एक - दूसरे पर बड़ाई जताना, और धन और सन्तान में परस्पर एक - दूसरे से बढ़ा हुआ प्रदर्शित करना । वर्षा का मिसाल की तरह जिसकी वनस्पति ने किसान का दिल मोह लिया । फिर वह पक जाती है ; फिर तुम उसे देखते हो कि वह पीली हो गई । फिर वह चूर्ण - विचूर्ण होकर रह जाती है, जबकि आख़िरत में कठोर यातना भी है और अल्लाह की क्षमा और प्रसन्नता भी । सांसारिक जीवन तो केवल धोखे की सुख - सामग्री है

• And this worldly life is not but diversion and amusement. And indeed, the home of the Hereafter - that is the life, if only they knew.
  और ये दुनिया की ज़िन्दगी तो खेल तमाशे के सिवा कुछ नहीं और मगर ये लोग समझें बूझें तो इसमे शक नहीं कि अबदी ज़िन्दगी तो बस आख़ेरत का घर है

• And when you call to prayer, they take it in ridicule and amusement. That is because they are a people who do not use reason.
  जब तुम नमाज़ के लिए पुकारते हो तो वे उसे हँसी और खेल बना लेते है । इसका कारण यह है कि वे बुद्धिहीन लोग है

• Who took their religion as distraction and amusement and whom the worldly life deluded." So today We will forget them just as they forgot the meeting of this Day of theirs and for having rejected Our verses.
  जिन लोगों ने अपने दीन को खेल तमाशा बना लिया था और दुनिया की ज़िन्दगी ने उनको फरेब दिया था तो हम भी आज उन्हें भूल जाएगें

• The life of this world is but play and amusement: and if ye believe and guard against Evil, He will grant you your recompense, and will not ask you your possessions.
  सांसारिक जीवन तो बस एक खेल और तमाशा है । और यदि तुम ईमान लाओ और डर रखो तो वह तुम्हारे कर्मफल तुम्हें प्रदान करेगा और तुमसे धन नही माँगेगा । -

• Leave alone those who take their religion to be mere play and amusement, and are deceived by the life of this world. But proclaim this: that every soul delivers itself to ruin by its own acts: it will find for itself no protector or intercessor except Allah: if it offered every ransom,, none will be accepted: such is those who deliver themselves to ruin by their own acts: they will have for drink boiling water, and for punishment, one most grievous: for they persisted in rejecting Allah.
  छोड़ो उन लोगों को, जिन्होंने अपने धर्म को खेल और तमाशा बना लिया है और उन्हें सांसारिक जीवन ने धोखे में डाल रखा है । और इसके द्वारा उन्हें नसीहत करते रहो कि कहीं ऐसा न हो कि कोई अपनी कमाई के कारण तबाही में पड़ जाए । अल्लाह से हटकर कोई भी नहीं, जो उसका समर्थक और सिफ़ारिश करनेवाला हो सके और यदि वह छुटकारा पाने के लिए बदले के रूप में हर सम्भव चीज़ देने लगे, तो भी वह उससे न लिया जाए । ऐसे ही लोग है, जो अपनी कमाई के कारण तबाही में पड गए । उनके लिए पीने को खौलता हुआ पानी है और दुखद यातना भी ; क्योंकि वे इनकार करते रहे थे
