You know a huge competition of brands is going out there in our country. Each and every one of them are trying very hard to prove their superiority amongst the people, all of them are trying their best to make the another brand feel inferior by shouting the slogans, putting up the posters or by playing the jingles of their respective brands or sometimes even by crossing the limits of humanity just for the sake of branding. Each of them want that their brands should be used by the maximum number of people. You must be wondering what kind of brands I am talking about so those are none another than the various religions we have in our country.
Yes, most of you must be offended but sadly it's true. Most of the time, unknowingly we keep judging the person by his last name, some people even cross the gates of humanity just for the sake of religion. You know what the worst part is ? - that we have also dragged our mother nature into this ugly fight. Like the goat belongs to the muslims and the cow to the hindus, the lilies goes in the mosque and the marigolds in the temple but thankfully we cannot divide the moon cause we always forget that the same moon helps to break the fast of both Hindu and Muslim on the evening of 'Karvachaut' and 'Roza' respectively.
The entire world knows about the 'unity in diversity' of our country but the irony is there's no 'unity' left in that 'diversity'. Secularism which has always been one of our greatest pillar has been there in the constitution only for the name sake.
And it adds fuel to the fire when I see youth who don't even think once about the cast or the religion of a person before dating someone but when it comes to marriage, they find someone in their own community and get married and in case someone dares to get married in some another cast then they become a disgrace to their community. All this is the result of our upbringing. We all are grown up in this atmosphere where we all are surrounded by such conversation and also there are people who Influence us to hate another religions.
Also I would like to add up here that if I follow a particular religion that doesn't mean I disrespect another religion. So in the same way if we respect all the religion and help us grow ourselves in a positive environment then secularism would be more than just a word in our constitution.
