Lassi is a yogurt based drink from the Indian subcontinent. Thisrefreshing body cooler is definitelya healthier option than a packagedjuice. Although a classic delight from Punjab still a favorite of all the North Indians. This refreshing drink is served after spicy food to clam down the stomach. Traditionally served in earthen pots it has miraculous powers to cool your body and keep you fresh in summer. Even though the sweet variety is more famous, the salty variety has its own followers. Lassi in Punjab is served with a layer of cream on top it and is thicker than its corresponding versions in rest of Northern India.

SERVINGS :2
INGREDIENTS :
2 cups of thick yogurt/curd
1/4 cup of ice cold water
3 tbsp powdered sugar
2 tbsp cream or malai
dry fruits like almonds, pistachios,cashew
1/2 tsp cardamom powder
PROCEDURE:
Take 2 cups of curd in a big jug.
Blend it well , either a hand blender or a mixer can be used.
Add the water to it to adjust the constituency.
Add sugar and mix well again, so that the entire sugar mixes properly.
Add the cardamon powder.
Whisk again with a blender to give it a froth, believe me it makes it tastier!
Pour in a glass and add a tbsp of cream on top of it.
Garnish with dry fruits.
Enjoy your sweet lassi.
P.S: You can add mango puree to it to make mango lassi or any flavoring agents to make your lassi taste your kind!
