1) Nahoum and Sons

Nahoum is a famous old school Jewish bakery, right in the middle of Hogg Market in Esplanade. This bakery dates back over a hundred years. It is always crowded with customers and hence you can get an idea of its popularity. You can never pass by the market without taking a sniff of the heavenly deliciousness. Favourites include the Christmas fruit cake and Nahoum’s special cake which is heart-shaped.

The original branch dates back to the British colonial days and this eatery catered to the influential and the elite for business meetings and negotiations of tea.
