Hello, Love of my Generation!
Who do we blame for efficient translocation of love from one person to another?

Let us blame science for a second! Cause we are a generation which falls into love faster than the Newton’s Apple and fall out of it with the speed of light!

Love in my generation is something like never before.

We swear about forever(s) like Arvind Kejriwal but then wait for acche din.

While we hold each other’s hands tightly in public, our fingers still left and right swipe on tinder profiles! But ‘Dil toh baccha hai ji’ somehow shoo away if the guilt trip tries overshadowing our conscience.

We trust this new relationship (post 6 breakups already) like it is a peace treaty, irrespective of the fact that the two contributing bodies have already engaged in massacres.

We cry for each other like we have just missed by 0.02% to cracking IIT JEE after having put get-up-and-go efforts for like 2 years, but it is just been 2 months we’ve known each other!

We declare about our relationship status like we’re going to hit century in just few weeks and everyone is invited to the carnival, which means good food, fancy drinks, extravagant dressing, must and must gifts! Even before the news of the carnival reaches out to the mass via Instagram hashtags#bae#forever#mine#onlymine#baby#jaanu#moonandback#kisses#ILoveYou, Facebook’s extra-diabetic captioned fake candid pictures, never ending Snapchat streaks, tenant in each other’s whatsapp stories, we also get the news of the breakup because all the above mentioned clears out from every social media overnight like Raat gayi baat gayi and that ‘Every sunrise is a new start’. We believe in love at first sight- be it your best friend’s boyfriend or your cousin’s fiancé; generation which has taken ‘Pyaar rang, roop aur umar nahin dekhta’ and a rebel of pseudo and wrong love.

We believe in finding ourselves a private place for undressing each other even before we actually realise we are the kids of the mothers who went to high school together. May be cause we are told to grab opportunities before they are gone?

We believe in changing shoulders as we drown in our numerous blues forgetting these blues are a result of changing shoulders. 🥀
