According to World Health Organisation,’ Health is a state of complete physical, intellectual, social emotional and spiritual well-being'. However, the definition of being ‘healthy’ or ‘fit’ has undergone drastic changes in the 20th century. Many people have started becoming ‘health conscious' or precisely ‘diet conscious' with spreading awareness regarding food, nutrition, health and fitness.

There are many ways through which one can lead a healthy life. Eating right kind of food with proper exercises may help.

Being punctual to your routine is the key to success. In the beginning it might feel like a bondage to stick to it like a Robo, but slowly and gradually your routine will turn into your daily, lifelong habits and living a healthy life is surely good habit!

A healthy routine comprise of waking early in the morning. ‘Rising early will give you the fresh air and the first Sunshine’s which you definitely need among so much pollution around you these days. Going for a walk may help, it ensure you the physical movement which the body requires. Other physical substitute include dancing, sport games, aerobics acrobatic, gymnasium and gyming.

Today most of the people usually prefer to go to gym for developing abs and muscles. Still, there is a big chunk of around 60% people all over the world who don't do any physical activity at all in their day-to-day life. They keep sitting like couch potatoes, putting on fat down their skins, there reason, no time! Waking up early in the morning after 8 hours of sound sleep will definitely give you more time for something more crucial than sleeping 9 to 11 hours or waking up late night. It’s the trait of nocturnal animals! The natural human cycle is totally against it!

Physical fitness is one of the aspect of being fit, mental fitness is also important. Keeping your mind fit is necessary to give your work 100%. Doing meditation provides stability of mind and enhances your concentration power. It is especially helpful for children who need to cram a lot in school. Meditation relaxes your mind and provide it peace, calm and stillness! Your mind gets filled with positivity. It enables your mind and emotions to remain in control even at time of adversities.

Each person’s body is like their machinery and the machinery need good lubrication. Eating right kind of food, helps one to keep their body well lubricated. A balanced diet is an ideal diet consisting all nutrients with equal proportion as required by our body, leaving no nutrient behind. We must try to inculcate each food type in our daily diet having carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins, minerals, roughage etc. It is very much preferable to avoid oily and fried food as much as possible. You can keep two days aside for them, after all life is all about celebrating and enjoying!

However present ever increasing notions of having a ‘fat free diets’ is a complete myth. People are completely eliminating fats from their foods in fear of losing their ‘slim bellies’. Having slim bellies can’t be considered healthy, it’s just for aesthetics, not for fitness! Counter obesity not the fats! Being obese is certainly dangerous. It invites a lot of diseases like B.P, heart-attack, cholesterol etc. But not including fats at all is no solution. Everything needs to be consumed, but in a right and controlled amount!

Apart from this, fast food is another big hurdle which must be kept at a distance! We do have those cravings for eating delicacies in the market every fortnight or so, but regular consumption of outside food can be dangerous to your ‘utopian health’. Fast food lack hygiene as well as nutrition, it is only about colour and taste, nothing fruitful, it only makes your pants tighten up and pockets loosen up!

It takes a while to develop these healthy lifestyle especially when your life is gripped with unhealthy habits. The task mayn’t be easy but it would definitely worth it, after all, “Health is Wealth”. Though it do sounds tough, but with a little bit of efforts and struggles we can even climb peaks, then still it's just a boring routine, boring but fruit bearing!

Start from today. Leading a good path in the beginning itself, will help you cope up the disabilities and weaknesses of old age in future. You may make more money, win friends and afford luxury throughout your life with the unfit lifestyle that people follow these days ,but you will yourself hasten the’ digging of your own grave’. Take charge of your life and switch to healthy habits…….before it is too late!
