Hereditary

This horror movie is jam packed with scary moments packed with surprises, which consists not just of jumpscares. Both the trailer and poster pushed the character named Charlie into the forefront only to have the character meets an untimely death quite early into the film. Interesting thing is the way Charlie dies, inspite of it being a horror movie she died because of an alergic reaction rather than anything supernatural playing a part.

The Place Beyond the Pines

From the poster it might just seem the Ryan Gosling is the main protagonist but it seems to be anything but that as his character gets killed early on at the 50min mark in the movie what was two hours long. The movie then is seen to be totally focused around the rookie cop played by Bradley Cooper and Gosling's children rather than Gosling himself.

G.I. Joe: Retaliation

Channing Tatum's career shifted quite a lot with the release of the first and second G.I. Joe films. By the year 2013 his character Duke got a lot of recognition and had become way too big of a deal. Even though it was Dule who was the precedent movie's main protagonist and also starting this movie as one; it was only a few minutes before he get eliminated after getting being framed for stealing some nukes.

Godzilla

Heavily featured in the marketing and the fairly popular actor fueled by the breaking bad's character critical and commercial success Bryan Cranston seemed to be the almost perfecct candidate to hold on to the human centric moments but unfortunately get killed quite early on, dying in the first act itself. This might just have been one of the most wrong decisions made in the 2014 reboot of the film.

Deep Blue Sea

With this Jaw's ripoff one might have thought that the directors would make the most of Samuel L Jackson, but that was definitely not the case. Since it had released after the classic movies such as Die Hard and Pulp Fiction, Jackson had gained a lot of popularity already known for his exceptional skills in acting. Which is why people thought that this charismatic actor would survive atleast the majority of the film but instead is among the first to die instead.
