From falling off the tower to becoming the ruler of the Seven Kingdoms, that’s quite a leap for a character.
I was just browsing through Instagram, when I came across posts saying they don’t agree with Tyrion's logic of declaring Bran the king.
Here’s Tyrion’s statement-
What unites people? Armies? Gold? Flags? No. Stories. There's nothing in the world more powerful than a good story. Nothing can stop it. No enemy can defeat it. And who has a better story than Bran the Broken? The boy who fell from the high tower and lived. He knew he'd never walk again, so he learned to fly.
The comments that followed were on the lines of
Jon Snow? Came back from the Dead? United the North and the wildlings ? He deserved it much more
Arya Stark? The child-turned-assassin who has traveled the world? She would have made some queen
Ghost? He lost his ear in the battle against the Dead and didn’t even get petted. He deserved it much more than Bran
What they don’t realise (and what Tyrion meant ) is that the Bran is the keeper of all stories. His old self cheered as Jon became Lord Commander. He cried on the inside when he saw Sansa's suffering. He shivered in fear when Arya made her first kill.He has seen and felt, suffered and rejoiced, more than anyone in Westeros. I believe that makes up for a dashing storyline.
About being useless in the Battle?
Think of it like Doctor Strange not telling anyone about the one in 14 million possibilities.
Also, in a world full of lies, secrets and deception, which forms the root of the entirety of the series, it doesn’t hurt to have a fact- checker.
So, to sum up
All hail Bran the Broken(kinda offensive, but let’s go with it)
Long may he reign.
