Human beings are social animals. This is what we all grew up hearing. We are creatures that live by the rules of society. Society governs the way we behave, act, work, almost all the perspectives of our personality. From the time immemorial, humans have roamed this planet in groups as they felt more secure, supported and it was also important because of the then hostile environment. While Modern society is a whole different thing. Today it's not just restricted to survival but also extends to the ideas of our image in the society and how others perceive us. Today we all find ourselves wondering what others might think if we do something. Such an attitude can be detrimental to the growth of our personalities and our mental well being. Stressing too much on other's judgments is not just tiring but debilitating and exhausting. The society can prove to be both a boon and a bane depending on to what extent its individuals want society to have an influence on them. We humans can't live without being social but we always yearn to stand out and express our own individualities.

Society is inseparable from the worldly human fabric. So why should an individual be proud of her uniqueness and embrace her individuality? Is it really necessary to conform to the societal dogmas to be a part of society?

Society will always judge you no matter what

One thing that is peculiar to society is its habit of incessantly judging individuals. Whether we conform to its ideals or not, escaping from being judged and looked down is almost impossible.

No one knows what your journey is all about

We all have our struggles, obstacles, and challenges in life. in the end, it's us who'll eventually bear the fruits of the decisions we make. So it's vital that our decisions are affected by our will not someone else's opinions.

Accepting our inner identity is liberating

Nothing is more freeing in this world when we accept who we are and are not scared of people seeing our true side.

We are truly happy when we are ourselves

We can't fake happiness, and our effort to be happy while we are trying to be someone we are not is as futile as making a fish climb a tree.

Embracing our individuality makes us accept others the way they are

Wouldn't it be really great if we could learn to accept and appreciate the distinctiveness of everyone? Such a society is a far better place to dwell in.

“To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.”―Ralph Waldo Emerson
