Now days, internet is so popular in all over the world and it is easy to connect people and enhance knowledge of different world very conveniently.In other words, today’s era becomes digitalization and most of the people are busy using it.Internet has become greatest assets and gift for every human being globally. On the contrary, we human beings use this type of assets in different offensively and unethically way. Today, there are many trolls posted in different social media site which hampers the society. Troll is an offending and disrespectful comment in order to insult, bullying or humiliating people in public. Internet troll is very common in different social media like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and so on. Mostly, people troll in order to settle personal issue and retaliate with others due to which they post unwanted comments, take dirty picture and posted in social media platform which makes their life more miserable. Apparently, there are many online sites and communities in the digital world and more there are platform like this, more we face these type of troll because such types of trolling happens in online platform only. As per the recent study shows that, 60 percent of internet users said they had witness someone being called offensive names and 27 percent of internet users have been called offensive names. The study also states that, 66 percent who have experienced online harassment said their most recent incident occurred on a social networking site or application. Trolling leads to serious affect in personal life and they find difficult to cope up with society due to humiliation in the social media platform. As per the study, the men were more likely than the women to use Facebook and other social media with antisocial motives. Trolling is very common in India as there are many cases related to it.Mostly in Social Media like Facebook, critics target different celebrities and great personalities like actor, actress, cricketer, politician and so on and used nasty, obscene or abusive comments on them. Apparently, targeting women is more in online trolling which happens in India daily and due to which it causes the barrier for every women to exercise their right to equality and freedom of expression. Mostly female celebrities are targeted by writing indecent comments and showing vulnerable image in different online platform. In India, Journalists are also not safe as they are pressurizing in online for doing their own jobs. According to source, In India, if you reveal a contradictory view to what a government is saying or try to expose on government, then you get attacked savagely. Trolling must be stop by any means as it caused or harms the life of people and faced severe consequences while interacting with the society. As the Government of India has maintain some laws and regulation to fight against trolling and some of the laws includes violation of privacy act which explains if anyone who intentionally or knowingly captures, publishes or transfers the image of a private area of any person under section 66E IT act or someone takes photograph or videos without his or her consent then those persons are liable to be punished up to 3 years and a fine of RS. 2 Lakh.Similarly, there are other acts which protect people from online trolling and some of them are online stalking, obscene context or internet, defamation, voyeurism and so on. Internet trolling must be stopped and there are some methods to handle it and they are block the bully, save the evidence, report the person to service providers, do not fear to complain and understand each law regarding it. It is obvious that internet is very essential for us as it is the assets to gain knowledge but we human beings are only misusing it and engaging in different criminal activities. Human beings must be aware about the proper use of internet as it may be means of good resources or may be means of destruction also.
