Yes you read it right. Usually, everyone says you can’t do anything good in one day. There’s an old indian saying “Karat karat abhyaas te jadmat hot sujaan” (Practise brings perfection) but what if I tell you there are a group of students redefining this?
These students are defying science. These are our college students. They just study for a night before exam and get good marks. These were the students who studied hard day and night, without even bothering about lunch or dinner or any other thing, while in school but now they’ve found a solution.
It’s not that all students do it willingly. Not at all, but they are forced to do so. An average college student is caught between a number of things like assignments, quizzes, viva, practicals, internals, externals. Apart from academics, there’s a lot of things like college clubs, hobbies, etc. What all these things do is that they consume the maximum time of any student and so at the end of day, we’re left with very less time.
Sometime I wonder what’s the need of assignments when all of us including our teachers know, that we are gonna copy it then why did they even give it to us? Even the smartest of us can’t answer it, seriously. Same goes with quizzes, what’s the need when you already know we are going to copy.
It’s not that assignments and all are a problem, No the problem is the time when they give it to us. Usually we receive it in the week before exam. So in the week when we should start studying, we’re supposed to submit assignments and give quizzes and viva.
Now starts the Blame Game, as to who is responsible for this. The students? No. The teachers? No. The answer is ‘Our Education System’ which tends to aim at overall development of a student but at the end, it takes them to absolutely nowhere. So need of the hour is to analyse our education system and update it with changing time. The system should be made for student and student must not be made for system. Then only we can expect something better from the student corner.
