In this part, we will discuss the plagiarized movies of Bollywood.

Bollywood has frequently been blamed for lifting components from the West. While some want to consider it a motivation, others look at it as blatant plagiarism. Bollywood has many times mired in controversies related to plagiarism. While a few producers have refused to acknowledge it and denied every one of the allegations while others has professed to be inspired by movies.

here is a list of films which have been mired in this plagiarism.

  1. Sarkar

Sarkar movie is the remake of the "Godfather" movie. Nothing can top the original. Indian Director Ramgopal Varma acknowledges Francis Ford Coppola and gives a reason for his remake. Even before the opening credits of his movie ‘Sarkar’, Varma credits Coppola and ‘The Godfather’ for influencing his career as a filmmaker and presents his film as a tribute to the classic.

  • Chak de india!

Chak De! India released in the year 2007 and even though it wasn't a typical mainstream film, it struck a chord with the audience. Be it Shah Rukh Khan's Sattar minute monologue or the girls coming together as a team after resolving their differences, the film was truly inspiring. One of the most memorable scenes from the movie where the team is introduced to coach Kabir Khan for the first time. Each player introduces herself followed by the state they represent and that's when Kabir Khan says,

"Iss team ko sirf voh players chahiye jo pehle India ke liye khel rahe hain".

This memorable scene was copied from the American movie called the miracle which got released in 2004. This whole movie is copied.

  • Black

Black movie is a copy- paste of English film called the "miracle worker". well, the concept and plot are similar, the only difference between the two is that the tutor is male in Hindi film whereas in the original film the tutor is female.

  • Kyunki…Main Jhooth Nahin Bolta

this movie is a copy- past of "liar liar" movie starring Jim Carrey.Credit to Govinda for being even better than the one and only Jim Carrey here.

  • GOD Tussi Great Ho

The original version of this movie is "Bruce Almighty". The original was fun, the remake was so bad it gave audiences a headache & thankfully got rejected. This was a calamity level of torture.

  • Dear zindagi

Shahrukh Khan and Alia Bhatt starrer movie earned rs.68 crore box office collection. The director Gauri Shinde was accused of copying the Canadian comedy-drama tv series "being Erica" created by Jana sinyor.

The list is endless and the whole conclusion of this article is that Bollywood is surviving by copying the ideas of others.
