Avengers: Endgame released on April 26, 2019, and is killing it at the global box-office. This Robert Downey Jr. film is inches away from dethroning James Cameron's Avatar (2009) as the most successful film, ever. Find out how much the MCU movie has collected so far

Endgame was one of the most anticipated movies of 2019 and it's now been a month since it released. Starring Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Avengers: Endgame is hitting it out of the park, both globally and domestically. In India, Avengers: Endgame has crossed the Rs 350 crore mark already and still continues its impressive run.

When it comes to the global box-office collection, according to Forbes, as of Tuesday i.e. May 22, 2019, Avengers: Endgame stands tall with a total collection of $2.63 billion, so far. As of now, James Cameron's Avatar (2009) is the most successful film to date with a staggering $2.78 billion. Given the steady rise of Avengers: Endgame, the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) film is inches away from dethroning Avatar. When it comes to the American box-office collection so far, the movie has earned $780 million.

Meanwhile, during a recent interview, the Russo Brothers revealed that RDJ was initially reluctant about Iron Man's character arc in Avengers: Endgame, as he was left with a mixed bag of emotions. The Oscar-nominated actor was also reluctant to say the iconic dialogue of "I am Iron Man," before the Infinity Gauntlet snap. But, Robert was then convinced otherwise and now the sequence is amongst the most memorable moments from the MCU film.

A movie full of emotions, action and humour is surely to be at the top and soon will occupy the first place.
