First Time Voters

"India has more than 50% of its population below the age of 25 and more than 65% below the age of 35."

Not an assumption,nor any illusion. That is what statistical data says. It is just the outer layer, the vital thought hidden inside says a lot! India's biggest power is the youth.

"Voting is not our duty,it's our right"

Casting a vote is something which we all are privileged of. Being able to select our leader, deciding the worthiest amongst all is highly responsible job. The Sixty-first Amendment of the Constitution of India, officially known as The Constitution (Sixty-first Amendment) Act, 1988, declared the voting age of elections to the Lok Sabha and to the Legislative Assemblies of States 18 years.

Amonst all voters there were The First Time Voters which comprises of our responsible youth contributing by their precious votes. Every politician wants to cashin youth as they know we are the one who can bring them in power. As stated earlier we are more than 50% of the population so no one really wants to leave this much amount of vote bank, yes we can be proud of ourselves!

Everyone wants to know what is our youth thinking. How will they look upto this lok sabha elections? And Ofcourse whom will they vote and why? Answers to these questions were pretty clear from the results.

Apart from the result the thing which caught everyone's eye was the percentage of vote casted for NOTA that is None Of The Above.It can be a game changer for the party to get a clear majority. There is big confusion among all, that casting vote to NOTA is basically wasting your vote! Actually that is not the case, it is half a knowledge. Casting vote to NOTA clearly states that voter is not happy with the option he/she have and won't comprise with the choices given. This is something which our youth understand and act accordingly. Which is clearly visible in the results.

In 2019, about 1.04% of the voters felt that none of the candidates deserved their vote.
By looking at number it might look small but it's not negligible.

First time voters considered all the aspects and knew what will be good for them after all:
