Avenger End-Game In India

There was a Storm at Indian Box Office last weekend due to the release of Marvels much awaited movie “Avengers Endgame”. From Iron man to Captain America from Hulk to Black Widow to Thor – Marvel superheroes have assembled one last time to save the world and fight against Thanos. Avenger endgame is the 22^nd film of marvel, marks the end of an era that revolved around Iron Man, Thor, and many other superheroes.

Endgame has started with a bang collecting a whopping amount of 53cr on its opening day in India, followed by two more 50+ collection on Saturday and Sunday making an history which no other Bollywood film have done so far. Though it was just released on 2845 screen in India it has broken the record of highest single day collection of a Bollywood film “Thugs of Hindustan” which was released on more than 5000 screens in India. The craze in Indian audience specially in youths was so high that Endgame sold 1 million ticket just in 2 days when its advance booking started.

As per today on 7 may Avenger Endgame have collected 320cr Rupees in India and become the first Hollywood movie to do so. From the Success of Endgame, we can now figure out how Hollywood movies are now capturing Indian Market. There was a time decades ego when there are hardly any demand for Hollywood movies in Indian market and they are not looked as a competitor for Bollywood movies. But the time have changed now and so does the taste of the Indian Audience. Many Recent Hollywood release have done good business in India (Spider-man home coming, Captain marvel, Aqua man, etc.) On the other hand, many Bollywood movies are struggling in finding Audience. The Reason is simple that Bollywood still rely on same love story and family drama movies rather than focusing more on the story. So the huge Success ofAvenger Endgame points an alarming situation for Indian Filmmakers.
