YJHD, one of the favourite movies of almost all the youths of the present century. A perfect blend of Comedy, Emotions, Fun, Entertainment, Love, Dreams and the most important Friendship.
This is a story of four different individuals facing one or the other problems in their lives. Bunny (at the right), who had big dreams, wanted to visit every street, every corner of this world, wanted to live his life to the full. Aditi (second from the left), the girl with a Tom Boy look free from the worries of the world. She cared for nothing in this world except for one thing, Avinash, Avi (at the left), their best friend and Aditi’s love. Aditi loved him a lot but Avi was not aware about all this. He was just like them but he was not as serious as Bunny about his life. He was very emotional about his friendship and wanted to live his life partying with his friends.
The story starts with the Manali Trek where they met their school friend Naina, Naina Talwar (second from the right). She was a studious type of girl wanted to be a Doctor. But somewhere she was tired of her monotonous life and wanted some change in her life. In the race of becoming the best she had forgotten to live her life.
It was this trip where Naina became a part of this beautiful, notorious, funny, adventure-like group. Slowly and gradually she became like them. A girl who didn’t know how to live the life. She was so distressed with the pressures of her parents to be the best that she left the house for this trek. It was this trip that taught many lessons to all of them. Avinash realized that life cannot be lived in this childish manner just by having parties, we need to be serious and need to have some dreams to be somewhere in the life. This happened in the following way:
It was the last day of the trek. The bus took a hault for the night. Avinash was a gambler. He used to bet on cricket matches. Before heading to the trek he had lost all his money in the India-Pakistan Match. So during the hault when everyone was away busy with some stuff, he went to the bus to collect some money from Bunny’s bag. There, to his surprise, he found an envelope in it. That envelope was nothing but Bunny’s scholarship letter of Journalism in to some foreign country. Avinash was highly disappointed with the fact that soon Bunny will leave them for this course. Bunny was highly focused on what he wanted to do. And as he was highly eager to fulfil his dream he went away to live his dream.
But somewhere something had happened which nobody was aware of. Fortunately or unfortunately, Naina fell in love with Bunny. She wanted to confess this to him but when she came to know about Bunny’s plan of going overseas, she avoided saying this to him. And the best part was she did not give up just because one of her wish could not be fulfilled. She knew how crazy Bunny was about his plans and she never wanted to put him down so she highly encouraged him to go. And then she lived her life happily ever after leaving everything in the hands of destiny. Neither Bunny came back nor did she wait.
There came a new chapter in everyone’s life, Aditi’s wedding with Taran. Avinash didn’t want her to get married. He was not even aware that she loved him, he was just afraid that he would become alone. He was also very angry with Bunny because after leaving India, he hardly got time to talk to them. And so when he came for Aditi’s wedding he avoided talking to them and when Bunny tried, he talked very rudely. After lot many efforts he was convinced and forgave Bunny.
It was this wedding where even Bunny realized that he had feelings for Naina but he was not ready to leave his job and get settled in India and similar was the case with Naina. So he decided to fly back but somehow he couldn’t and he came back to Naina. He realized that his dreams were at his place but Naina was an inseparable part of his life. Aditi was happy with her new married life. Avinash was about to shut down his Bar. And there came a happy ending.
You all must be wondering what was so different or fascinating about this movie. You know whenever I am depressed without giving a second thought I devote my 3 hours to this movie. This movie has always been a mood lightener for me. There was nothing new in their stories. But still all had something to teach. Bunny was so passionate about his dreams to fly across the world and visit each and every corner of this world. In this world there may be several people who may be having so many dreams but the question is how many of them actually fulfil their dreams-hardly 1 out of 100. To achieve something in life you need to have that passion; that urge in life to reach to your destination. Aditi who loved Avi, let him go because she knew that he didn’t love her and she moved on. I mean how many of us have the ability to accept the facts and move on? We people are so dissatisfied with every things and keep crying for the same half of our lives. Avinash realized his need to be a bit serious in life leaving his childish dreams. Finally, Naina taught us that we need to have fun along with seriousness in life otherwise life would be boring and monotonous.
