A Letter To Me- Part 1

This is to the person; I look into the mirror every day. This is the letter to ask forgiveness from the person I owe the most.

Sorry for all those instants where I made you feel less significant due to my naivety. Pardon me for the time when I doubted you. Forgive me for shackling you in the name of love. Forgive me for the time when I didn't let you open your wings and fly high.

Acquit me for all those moments when I let go of the people without uttering a single word. Forgive me for all those times when I didn’t give you a priority. Will you able to forgive me for those unreasonable excuses I made and stepped back from opportunities. Forgive me for all those moments where I permit you to question your abilities and made you feel terrible. Pardon me for all those events where I didn’t fight for you. Forgive me for all those jiffs where I made you feel miserable about yourself.

Forgive me for all those occasions where I failed to appreciate your efforts. Also, remember to forgive me for the time when I failed to admire your beautiful flaws. Your flaws are the most mesmerising parts of your personality which distinguish you from others. Your flaws make you who you are today. Forgive me to chain you with perfect excuses to hold onto things.

Forgive me for all those moments where I didn’t listen to your voice and ignored you in a perfect manner. Pardon me to neglect you in the process of meeting everyone's expectations. Forgive me that I took ages to learn to say 'NO'. Pardon me for all those instants where I failed to respect you. Acquit me for the time when I didn't utter my voice for you.

Asking forgiveness is never too late.

P.S - knowingly or unknowingly we keep on doing things which hurt us from within for the sake of responsibility, love, and expectations. Whenever our inner self starts raising its voice, we soothe ourselves with absurd excuses every time.

We forget that at the end of the day we have to be with ourselves. Don't show pity on yourself.

Start embracing your flaws because my dear you are one of kind. Stop being perfect. It is just an illusion. Before loving someone else learn to love yourself with all your heart and soul. Stop giving those excuses to yourself which are holding you back.
