Netflix Special This Weekend: Binge Time Series

“Netflix and chill” are actually a thing now, these days most popular with youngsters. Nowadays binge watching is more common than anything else.

1.Narcos- This series will easily make into the top 10 of any series lovers. Shot in Spanish the performance of the lead will blow your head off. The story is too good and there is life after Pablo. Each episode is around 50 minutes long but don’t be surprised if you spend hours on the same.

2.Daredevil-Not a normal superhero story with several layers of sub plots within the main plot. The acting of the lead is phenomenal and the action sequences are shot perfectly.

3.Stranger Things 1&2-this is a no brainer in the list with the kids and the spooky town of hawkins creating laughter even in the most horrific of scenes. Their innocence is beautifully showcased and with a gripping storyline they have managed to put a more than decent show.

4.13 reasons why S1- “Welcome to your tape”, was one of the most trending lines last year. A show which tackles important issues . The griiping narrative and the wide range of human emotions will keep you hooked till the end. There is a reason why i haven’t mentioned season 2 as there really is no substance and its a drag.

5.House of Cards- This show is cunning and takes you to the dirty world of politics where people are ready to sell their souls for power. Amazing acting and shocking twists. There are 4 seasons and the monologue part will keep you hooked throughout.

6.Black mirror-A series which can be watched in any order as no two episodes are remotely related. A really frightening take on what the future of technology holds for us.

7.Sherlock- One word to describe this show ‘excellent'. A true master piece. I am a huge fan of the original Sherlock Holmes books and TV shows. When I sat down to watch this, at the first glimpse I was a bit disappointed. The show started in a somewhat different way than I imagined. Few minutes later, I found out that the 'difference' I experienced is what makes this series unique and brilliant. The cast is spot on. Couldn't have picked a better guy for Holmes or Lestrade. Yet, Dr. Watson doesn't match the original picture. Who cares hey? The story is full of twists and turns and fascinating to see the techniques of deduction. The merging of old reasoning and new technology has been done magnificently. So, its a Holmes with a laptop and a smart phone. That who we see. And that can be easily related than those 1800's detective.

I am guilty of pestering my everyone around me to watch these series that I have watched and loved. These are the best ones and there are many many more to add to this list but these are certainly the top ones, a must watch for all Netflix lovers.
