Disease Spreads Faster Than Medicine

The title a little confusing?!? You might be thinking I'm going to talk about our health or our psychology. Hmm, I'm going to talk about not our psychology but our behaviour and usage of certain things which may go out of control if not stopped at the right time.

You can assume that this article is a continuation to my previous article " Whose fault is it?"

In my previous article, I spoke about how the media evolved from time to time and the circulation of fake news. Let me pick up from where I left that article (not the question 😉).

To begin with, in the recent times social media has evolved more than the evolution of a human being. The evolution of a human being took thousands of years but media especially social media has not even take 1/10th of that time. Yes, social media has made us more aware about what is happening around the world before even the actual news comes out somewhere.

People have become more participative because of the evolution and are more enthusiastic in spreading the news but they are still unaware whether the content they are sharing is real or fake. I am just generalising it, no offence please, no targeting, just an opinion.

Okay, in my previous article I spoke about how fake news spreads. Now let me continues this article with the consequences or the events that may take place later on. Shall we begin?

There are certain features which have come in the social media where you can send a single message to 'n' number of groups or people. Completely fine with this part. But this feature has somehow become a more of a catalyst to some of the bad things which cannot be taken back easily. People use this feature even to spread the news which they are unaware of. It maybe good, it maybe bad but yes more of the bad things are spreading than the good ones. Using this feature, fake news is shared with large number of people within less time. Here, I am not talking about our messaging applications but also other social media accounts and through various ways we do not even no. Memes are a trending feature in social media. Memes attract people than a normal, simple message. Therefore, more and more people are subject to exposure to such news.

But as they say every negative has a positive and every disease has a cure. The only things is positives take more time to spread than the negatives. In the same manner, a disease may be found in a few minutes but its cure takes time.

It is the same thing with social media. But here the cure lies withing the disease itself.

Fake news may run along for a long time but soon the reality behind this news comes out but here is the twist. The people sharing the fake news mostly don't share the real news. They maybe busy or they may think the real news is fake and the fake news is real or they are simply just lazy (just kidding🤣😉).

People must understand that as they play a role in spreading fake news, they also need to play a role in bringing out the reality being that news. Yes it may take time but the efforts you put in spreading the real news must be doubled as to spreading the fake news because it may not affect you but there might be some people who take major decisions based on the news you spread earlier.

So, next time you read a news try to decide if it is real or fake. If it is fake and you still spread the news and find out the reality later, then take some extra effort to spread the reality.

"No harm done, or if damage is done do not step back from making things right".

Enjoy!!

(P. S. :- Do read the prequel to this sequel "Whose fault is it?" 😊)
