What is sorrow? Twin of sadness ? relative of depression ? well maybe, these are the most used point of views of this word. But sorrow is such a negative word, it can’t be turned into a positive sense. But if we try, what do you think we can learn from this? I was alone for almost an year, no friends, no social media, only me and my thoughts.
It was difficult at first because I had a different personality. But things change, right? After completing almost a year, having a good grip over my mind and I realized that sorrow always is not about feeling bad towards some kind of occurring to others or some place or anything. One also feels sad when he/she thinks that things aren’t the way they were before. Sorrow helps in realization. It helps in bouncing back and start working for what’s not here but will be in future. As I have seen in many people there are two kinds of effects that takes place when this ‘Sorrow’ thing strikes their head and mind. For the first kind, we have people who get scared for life, the fear of getting looked at by everyone just because something happened and they fall in the deep end of sorrow and sadness. It becomes difficult for them to come out of it. Maybe because no one remains around to listen & to understand.
The most common symptom is the fear here, which stops them from even taking step forward and makes them think of the consequences even before anything happens. They start staying away and work for what they have left. Well, maybe to forget about what has been done. But yes in a way or two, they work too but silently. The second one as I said, kind of gives the positive analysis on what should be done. They are working towards a goal stressing out and in fear so that this thing can get out of their head. Its good. Working hard towards something to bring a change, a normal concept basically which most of us only see in fields like academics or sports. But, life itself can be a sport. And the only mistake most of the people make is that they compete with others and don’t understand that the only competition they have is themselves. So what do we learn from this?
The effects which occur are both negative (and positive) in a way. Sorrow brings stress, roughness and fear in a person. But this makes them work for something, for a particular goal that they have. A person becomes sharp, in ears and in mind. Positive behavior sometimes comes from deep sections of our mind which cannot be accessed by a person but an accident or some incident which brings the sadness along causes them to react on it.
It's a psychological assessment of what this emotion does in our system, but in a way its important too. It gives the many other reason and takes us through the journey of many other emotions.
