1. Roshogulla

When it comes to sweets of Kolkata , how can we forget the “ kolkatar Roshogulla”. These spongy , soft, round sweetssoaked in sugar syrup have become an icon of Bengali cuisine. One doesn’t say no to the Roshogullas.

2. Bhapa Doi

Bhapa doi is made by blending yogurt and condensed milk. It looks marvellous with the garnishing of almonds and pistachios.

3. Nolen Gurer Payesh

Nolen gurer payesh in winter season is a dream come true for every bong. It is made with milk, rice and jaggery , which is available during winters. It is also a dish preferred in the birthdays of bongs.

4. Pantua

Pantua is a traditional dish . these deep brown sweet balls look hard from outside but melt inside your mouth. They are deep fried which gives them such a heart warming rich colour.

5. Rajbhog

The lip- smacking sweet spheresis stuffed with dry fruits and made just like spongy Roshogullas. These yellow soft balls flavoured and coloured take you on a ride to heaven.

6. Chanar Jeelapi

Made of Paneer, Khoya and flour, it is another splendid dessert which is a must try. Have a bite of these juicy delights and you’ll know what true love feels like.

7. Mishtidoi

Another infamous , sweet delicacy of Kolkata. This light and sweet blend of milk, yogurt and coarse brown sugar , left to ferment overnight, makes its place in every celebration and auspicious occasion. The delicate sweetness of this dessert will make your taste buds quite satisfied.
