We all know what Sherlock Holmes is well known for. His amazing deduction skills, how he can tell about anyone just by looking at them. But if you have noticed, he delivers the perfectly timed dialogues and quotes every now and then, and mostly to insult someone.

Yes, we are talking about the only Consulting Detective in the world (he invented the job) from our beloved show BBC Sherlock starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman. Here we have mentioned the top quotes which came out of the mouth of this genius.

So contact your homeless network, grab your beloved violin and sit back on your couch.

"IS IT NICE NOT BEING ME?"
Sherlock has an undeniably good brain and the thing that irritates him is that how other people can't keep up with how fast his brain works.

In the first episode, 'The Study In Pink', when he deduces the message carved on the floor , he is amused by how no one else understood it. So when he is showing off his knowledge and everyone is staring blanky at him, he says, " is it nice not being me? It must be so relaxing."

We all know how he puts everyone off, right? If there was a game to put everyone off, Sherlock would win a medal.

"BRAINY'S THE NEW SEXY."

Even after having an amazingly fast brain, one of the biggest mysteries to Sherlock is Irene Adler. He just can't read her face like he does of every other person.

When Sherlock states that he has no interest in having relationships, she poses consistent problems to him and tells that she likes detectives because brainy's the new sexy, Sherlock is taken aback and stumbles upon his own words.

"THAT'S THE FRAILITY OF A GENIUS, IT NEEDS AN AUDIENCE"

It is one of those Sherlock quotes, which makes you think. Sherlock makes this comment on his constant enemy and the only threat throughout the show, Jim Moriarty, which is a genius criminal.

As Sherlock knows himself that he is genius too, this dialogue comes straight from his soul as he can understand what geniuses actually want.

" DON'T MOVE, DON'T SPEAK, DON'T BREATHE, I'M TRYIN TO THINK "

Anderson, the dumbest person on earth according to Sherlock is always the butt of the joke. Even when Sherlock is saying something out loud, he makes sure Anderson gets offended.

Well, of couse Anderson called Sherlock a psychopath so he takes every indirect insult from Sherlock, and you gotta admit it, these scenes are HILARIOUS.

And now comes my personal favourite quote.

"TAKING YOUR OWN LIFE, INTERESTING EXPRESSION, TAKIN' IT FROM WHO? ONCE IT'S OVER, IT IS NOT YOU WHO MISS IT! YOUR DEATH IS SOMETHIN' THAT HAPPENS TO EVERYBODY ELSE. YOUR LIIFE IS NOT YOUR OWN, KEEP YOUR HANDS OFF IT."

Isn't it a beautiful life lesson? I especially love this because firstly, it shows character development of Sherlock on the show from insulting everyone to teaching few lessons to someone and secondly, because it is SO GOOD. There are so many people in this world who commit suicide and our country India has a really high rate for it. This quote tells that a person's death causes pain and misery to their loved ones. Those who kill themselves, they are just gone but what they leave behind is far more painful than what they had experienced.

So if any one of you reading this ever gets even a thought like this, just think about your family and friends please.
