There has a lot of buzz about the dark personality, with traits that focus only on their own selves. We all might know at least one such person who is a bit antisocial & has a weird personality. The psychologist also believes that there are certain individuals with a ‘Dark Personality’ as they show malevolent qualities.
Individuals with dark traits tend to have a more complex personality than the usual happy, shiny folks with all their positive folks. There are certain traits that people with dark persona have, which shows how heartless they can be before they feel anything is wrong.
Traits that define the darkness within us, every person have them although they may not be dormant:
1.Egoism: The moral scale of a person is set only one thing, self -interest, all the decision the person takes are based on whether it will help their motive. They climb up by making sacrifices of others & then boast about that very achievement.
2.Machiavellianism: A person who is sneaky, deceitful; lacking in his ethics with no morality can practically do anything to get to their desire. These individuals are very manipulative, cunning, use flattery often, even exploit others. They don’t value relationships prefers power & money instead.
3.Narcissism: Selfish individuals, who have a sense of entitlement with a lack of empathy towards fellow humans. A person who has his grandiose image in front of himself & is extremely egocentric & self-adulated.
4.Psychopath: A impulsive person with no self-control; and can have a violent social behavior sometimes. They have superficial charm & glib aura around them but are very shallow from within.
5.Sadism: When the individual takes great pleasure in causing pain, humiliation. To cause physical & mental harm, they can also use restraints on others as well as on themselves. The desires to inflict severe injuries.
6.Psychological Entitlement: The most common trait, almost all of us at some point have experienced this when we feel we deserve more. The moment when you feel like that promotion is something that you deserve, you have earned it according to yourself. When we don’t get what we were entitled to us to feel angry about it.
7.Spitefulness: The person is vindictive enough to go to any lengths to retaliate that they are not even concerned about hurting themselves in the process of revenge. The person is mostly driven by cruel desires to cause harm.
