Deepening Your Understanding

The key to happiness is deep understanding.

Everything has certain complexity within it but it is also true that everything has a certain simplicity too. Where we get struck is at complexity of a thing. We need power of understanding to create that complex concept into a simple understanding.

Here in this article I share with you the ways in which you can deepen your understanding.

Understanding requires time

Most of the people demand pills for their life so that the short term pain can be relieved but understanding is not about this, it requires time as well energy.

One who is not energised cannot devote his whole hearted effort to thinking on an aspect with full focus and without focus you can't achieve anything, forget about understanding!

Understanding is often, though not always, related to learning concepts, and sometimes also the theory or theories associated with those concepts. However, a person may have a good ability to predict the behaviour of an object, animal or system—and therefore may, in some sense, understand it—without necessarily being familiar with the concepts or theories associated with that object, animal or system in their culture. They may have developed their own distinct concepts and theories, which may be equivalent, better or worse than the recognised standard concepts and theories of their culture.

Shallow and deep understanding

Someone who has a more sophisticated understanding, more predictively accurate understanding, and/or an understanding that allows them to make explanations that others commonly judge to be better, of something, is said to understand that thing "deeply". Conversely, someone who has a more limited understanding of a thing is said to have a "shallow" understanding. However, the depth of understanding required to usefully participate in an occupation or activity may vary greatly.

Ways to deepen understanding

• Become a problem solver. Your problems are your opportunity, when you solve them you become more intelligent.

• Read more. When you read works of great people you start to figure out things.

• Question Everything. Without question there is no answer and without answer there is no understanding.

• Observe the life as it is. The mysteries will start revealing their truth to you.
