What is MUN?
Model United Nations (MUN) is an academic simulation which incorporates its rules, procedures and work flow between international delegates and executive boards. It invloves debates on various agendas in parliamentary form.

So when I got selected to attend the Asia World Model United Nations, I was overwhelmed with joy, as it was my first time to attend an international conference. It was held during Jan30 to Feb 1 2019 in Bangkok, the heart of Thailand.

So my council and country allocation were Bahrain in the council International Monetary Fund (IMF). The topic provided for our council was "Providing solution of the unequal burden of rising temperatures in Low-Income countries". So we had to do a lot of research on the topic and preapre our speeches.

On the first day we had the opening ceremony, where we had a warm welcome followed by the Grand Symposium, where there were speakers who spoke about the "The World's Dilemma: Enhancing World Action on Climate Change" .

The next day we had the Commiiteee Session where we debated on various topics amongs the other fellow delegates from various countries, It was truly an amazing experiece where we got to meet youth leaders from different parts of the world. Here we worked together, to discuss our ideas and brought out resolutions to help change the world.

After the meeting sessions we had the Diplomatic Dinner. Delegates will experience multiculturalism through diplomatic dinner where they may expand their network by meeting other delegates from various countries.

The next part of the MUN was the city tour, which was the most favourite part. We visited one of the renowned sites in the heart of Thailand such as The Temple of Golden Mountain, The MOCA Museum, and The Marble Temple. All the tension from the previous day conference melted and flew away to the air as these sites were circulated.

The last day was the Cultural night where we were asked to wear traditional attire to represent our home country. I felt the spirit of patriotism while carrying our Indian flag.

So through this MUN, I gained confidence to speak amidst 200 people in a room. It also helped in networking with youth leaders. I strongly recommend every young students to attend these kind of MUN's atleast once in their life time, I assure you, they give you the best and the unforgettable experience for a life time!
