S urbhi Jakhar
We are living in a modern world. Today's generation works of facts and figures rather than mere believes or faith in something.

We all have been taught from starting that we belong to a certain religion, there is a superior being who created all of us, GOD.

But as we grow up, study and have the ability to question, we can think about the existence of humanity.

Science and religion are two different yet connected topics. We always question, have doubts, can challenge science, and it replies with evidence. While religion is all matter of faith. No questions or doubts and if challenged, it becomes hostile.

There is a dilemma in a few things, whether to believe them or not. Such as religion tells us the creater of this world is god, while facts revealed that it was a complex process of evolution starting from inorganic molecules, unicellular prokaryots to the present day species.

The two things also can be linked. As various practices and traditions are very scientific. Earlier people were quite relectant to the concepts discovered, thus everything was linked to religion, and then the would believe it without further questions.

For instance, peepal tree is considered sacred according to Hinduism, the logic behind this is it gives a plenty of oxygen and is a keystone species thus has a important position in ecosystem. We do fasting according to our customs specified by different religions, in order to please almighty, but actually this fasting helps in cleaning of your system which leads to better health. There is a description given about the universe in the vedas, and scientist have said that they clearly echo this modern concept. The bells in temples lead to positive energy due to those vibrations.

But there is a need to ameend few aspects of religious customs, which were good to practice during ancient times due to lack of resources. Various customs and traditions also lead to superstitions and illpractices, such as people using hot iron rods and claiming to cure the diseased children. Many unaware people are trapped in this. It's alright to follow any thing but there is always a fine line in faith and blindfaith. Also, these days religion is being used in politics and is totally commercialized. Science on the other hand doesn't say anything without a proof. There are always theories to explain all phenomena going around us.

However there are a few things which are not yet discovered by science, which do not have a proper proof, which don't follow the postulates proposed by humans. Which indicates the presence of something else that controls us.

There is so much yet to knw, yet to discover, thus both of these things should go hand in hand, and complement each other!
